Facebook will shut down its facial recognition system this month and delete more than one billion users' face scan data, the company said Tuesday. It cited societal concerns about facial recognition technology as the reason.
I reckon Facebook is under white hat management.
Unfortunately, they've probably already sold the facial recognition data.
They may shut down what you can see online, but I doubt they shut down the use of the software.
What the public will see is they stop tagging your friends in the pictures you post, but that doesn't mean they have shut down any collection. The globalist don't intend to stop trying to rule the world, and that tool is to useful to them and their corporate partners to give up.
I think the change to “Meta” was like when Alphabet became the parent company of Google and all of its subsidiaries. So Meta now owns Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc. I think.

This is my assumption as well.

do you actually believe that they will shut that down??? we can trust facebook, right???? lol....
Well you can't scan faces covered by masks, so.......
It must have not been making money.
I thought it was META. I guess that name will never stick. Haha.

That's okay, I'm still not joining.
