Lots of people have perfectly clean backgrounds. I have to get a full criminal background check every year for a junior high school I volunteer at teaching computer science. It comes back clean each year, and there are lots of people who wouldn't get jobs if their background checks didn't come back clean. I've had two jobs that did full criminal and even financial background checks in the process of hiring.
Adultery and crimes for which you were never charged aren't in a background check. Doesn't mean there aren't people in your life w pictures of you dressed as Hitler or waving a confederate flag drunk on SoCo or something
Well, good for me that I've never committed adultery, dressed up as Hitler, or waved the Confederate flag around. Seems pretty simple to not do stupid shit like that. 🤷♂️

By design, there are so many contradictory laws enacted, that every living soul has a whole telephone book full of infractions to sift through.
Just get involved and do your bit at whatever level your skills and honour allow :)

You need to be honest and speak about whatever it is that you're ashamed or embarrassed by.

Personally i have less respect and much suspicion for anyone so shiny. Most dirt is relatable and should be owned instead of deflected and buried
