My employer just told us on Monday that we have to get jabbed. I start my new job in a week. Better pay and hours, and much closer to home. Fuck Joe Biden. Edit: Thank for the well wishes, pedes.

It’s not the church, it’s usually the people. If you found the right place, it would feel like family. Mine does. Just open yourself up, but keep your faith in God. Looks like he’s taking good care of you in this situation. God Bless.
I once told an Orthodox priest I didn’t like all the hypocrites. He told me, smiling, “There’s always room for one more.” I’m the biggest hypocrite I know. I’m a total phony. Lord have mercy on me, a phony.
Just being able to consider that you might be a phony probably makes you more authentic than many other people
Oh, I’m a phony alright. Isn’t everyone? It’s the human condition. We all have a self image. We all form mental images of our human contacts. These images are then imagined to interact in a weird puppet show and we call it relationship, or society. Our ideas about ourselves and our ideas about others are all just so much fluff. When objective reality intervenes it can be a shock. May the objective reality of the risen Christ’s eternal mercy be a comfort to you, as it is to me.
Unless it’s the Catholic Church. I will attend if need be, but not a penny will be given.
Exactly. Receive the Sacraments and don't give the diocese a penny.
I am with you. I go every Sunday but refuse to give them any money. I've had some dude tap me on the knee for not giving. He came back 2 more times tapping me. And complains about me not giving. I looked at him as we left, and simply said "Have a good day"
“Peace be with you.”
