There is something very off about him. I came across this article last year. It was written during his first term as senator. If you can get past the fact that he REALLY thinks very highly of himself, it is an interesting look into who he was as a young man and there are a lot of familiar themes.
That said, although Hunter is an adult and responsible for his own actions, I think a lot of his problems stem directly from his relationship with his father. In a way, when you read the article, it is kind of sad when you look at the kids because they were just born into the mess. I can't imagine having a parent with an ego like that.
