About a decade ago I remember they were testing a system of identifying you by the veins in your hands through a scanner. I almost went through with it as a clueless 18 year old but the nurse straight up told me it was optional and I didn't have to do it. Based on her tone of voice, I opted out and never did it. It made no sense why they would need to scan you, I assumed it was to just process things quicker, but its purpose was much more sinister.

Reminds me of that area 51 bone scanner that they used to measure the distance between your finger bones as a early form of hand scanner.
I just got an amateur radio license online and they required video of hands. I dont know what to think
Beware.
Now they ask you to sign a permission slip to authorize an audio recording device during your Dr. visit. They claim it is for "dictation" purposes.
Who the he|| is storing / sharing this private audio recording and can it be used as evidence against you in the future?
Yeah, my doctor's office started recording things. I haven't been back.
