I'm looking for a good alternative. Likewise, does anyone have some info on how to make your own HCQ? I believe I read somewhere that HCQ can be made at home with grapefruit peel. Thanks.

Gin & Tonics might have kept British explorers safe from diseases.
It's been keeping me safe from bullshit I'll tell you that.
Mainly malaria and dengue fever.

Simplest way to get quinine in usable amounts is to put 1 level teaspoon of Cinchona bark in a cup or pot and pour in boiling water.
Add honey to taste (about half a teaspoon for me). Leave for 5 minutes. Strain. Allow to cool. Drink slowly.

key word might
NO. The answer is NO to both.
I have made the grapefruit peel and lemon peel remedy slow boiled with tonic water (lid on the entire time). It is a good tonic and provides quinine, which is a natural tonic, but it's NOT a substitute for HCQ.
I'm not a doctor... and am increasingly growing to despise most doctors anyway... so this is not medical advice. I believe a good, easily available substitute for HCQ is Quercetin, taken with zinc supplements. One of HCQ's main benefits is that it helps the body readily absorb zinc (which a body normally doesn't absorb easily.) Most of a zinc supplement you take never gets absorbed into your system, but is flushed out as waste. HCQ changes that and helps you to absorb the zinc. Quercetin does the same thing. It may not have some of the other benefits of HCQ, but that's the main one... so is a reasonable substitute in emergency.
Quercetin is available on-line, or is carried at some health food stores. You can order it through Amazon. Kroger grocery stores don't carry it, but you can order it from Kroger on-line and they will have it in their store for you in 2-days. It's also inexpensive... like $14 for a 60-pill, or $19 for a 90-pill bottle. I think Walmart.com also has it and can deliver it to the store for you to pick up. Same basic price no matter where you go.
The whole grapefruit & lemon peel in quinine is a great way to get extra quinine and vitamin C in your system, but I would look into the Quercetin. It's much closer to what you are looking for.
Don't forget adding in horse paste to your "human like pony's" diet. Cheap at your local Tractor Supply store and if you get apple it tastes good per my pony.
Tonic water has quinine, and you can buy quercetin over the counter. It's plant based and apparently does the same thing.
Not all tonic water. Q brand tonic water has quinine.
I did not know that. Thanks! I already take Quercetin with Bromelain as part of my daily regimen.
Dr. Zelenko has advised the use of Quercetin as a substitute.

Yes you are!
Fever tree Premium Indian tonic water in small glass bottles. Wal mart (sorry) has it. Four pack of bottles. Seems the best from the Fever tree 6.8 oz bottles. I used it and helped me along with Vit c rich foods and sunlight.
Yes I made a drink using those ingredients pretty bitter so I added honey to taste and ginger. Mentioned this to a doctor I work with acting like it was just a high powered vit C drink. She says that is a natural way to make Hydroxychloroquine. Considering this doctor pushes the vax I was surprised she would tell me that. I used it along with taking the other vitamins. Can tell you I felt just a little sick before I started using it. The rest of the family tested positive for Covid including the vaxxed family members. I did not end up testing positive. I believe it can be helpful if taken very early on when you first start to feel sick. This is purely based on my personal experience and by no means medical advice.
Besides the comments about quercetin being better below, most tonic water also has sugar added. Don't drink tonic water for your health.
Quercetin. Many on Amazon. My wife chose...

I thought Frontline Doctors were now saying black seed oil is a substitute? It has a lot of interesting effects, including blood thinner and lowering BP, so not to take too much, also tastes really bad. I feel some effect from 15 drops on half a teaspoon of honey. Regardless, according to the Spartacus letter which everyone needs to peruse as much as they can understand, part of the problem with Covid is that when symptoms arise, it is from virus damage that already happened, which is why treatment results are all over the place. Prevention by strengthening the immune system/having a steady presence of antivirals is much better.

Save, read and spread! It offers great understanding.
YES, same thing- quinine. Drink liters (a lot) with zinc.
The U.K. press basically undermined Trump last year by suggesting you’d need to drink a bath full of tonic water to have any effect.
In the U.K. tonic water has always been freely available as it’s a constituent to gin and tonic.
The market is split between premium tonics such as Fevertree that claim to have extracts of natural quinine and supermarket label tonics that tend to have artificial flavours ( perhaps other enhancers).
The price for the premium stuff is about 5 to 10 times that of the lesser.
I'd use Quercetin, tonic water has a lot of sugar which is virus food.
For many years I have been having tonic water with a squeeze of lime every night with my dinner. I get the PUBLIX brand diet tonic water, no sugar, but it does have a small amount of quinine. I did this mostly because I like the taste and I don't drink junk like Coca-Cola and I don't drink alcohol.
I think over the years I may have built up a quinine level in my body without even thinking of the health benefits. I also have been taking zinc, Vitamins D, C, K, and B-12, all because I determined years ago that they improved my overall health and immune system.
It appears to be working... I refuse to take any of the vaxx'es today for covid-1984 and I have been doing well. Either my good choices or the hand of God has been guiding me in this journey, because I was doing these things long before covid became a "thing."
I don't know if you have a PUBLIX in your area, but they carry their own store brand of tonic water in a diet formulation....no sugar but with quinine.
Tonic with quinine has very little quinine.
