Not fired, laid off. Big difference. A layoff means you can come back when things improve.
I was laid off three times at a big company and was recalled every time. One of those layoffs was for six months. I lived on unemployment and caught up on home projects.
My brother works for thus company. There is no panic and this isn't deep state. They over hired and fired a bunch
of people who did nothing. He was just a little harsh about it
Actually what he did to the diversity team and slackers was pretty based.
DITTO.....it was KHARMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to find out why he fired them. All I could find for an explanation:
Hey, at least they get severance until February. It's like having a nice extended holiday.
So it was a guerilla attack followed by a hasty retreat?
So they hired him to fix their dying company. He instantly ttakes swift decisive action and they freak out. Sounds about right for 2021
How else would that be done, though? Lay-offs are brutal.
