Horsey paste for the win ...
The only place it was available where I live was Tractor Supply and they have stopped putting it out. I’ve seen someone here mention buying it from a veterinary supply. Sure would appreciate the name again
Here you go. They have it in stock at $7.99 per tube, which is a reasonable price (I know this as one who's bought it for 4-legged horses). https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_search_results.html?q=ivermectin%20paste
Thx...just ordered some!
Did you get the DuraMectin (which they currently appear to be out of) or the Med-Pharmex Ivermectin ?
I've purchased all different brands for the horses. For myself, I got the apple flavored DuraMectin because that was the only ivermectin brand the local feed store carried.
I just looked at Valley Vets DuraMectin page again, and it looks in stock to me. Specifically, I can't find anywhere that it says 'out of stock'. Also Windows8866 said he/she purchased some from them today after I provided the link. https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=4D9A49D8-394F-46B3-883C-733D88C2C257
The Med-Pharmex looks to me like it would be a good alternate.
I think I last used Valley Vet.
I absolutely love the horse paste format. Dirt cheap. Plenty of doses. Goes down easy with a carbonated chaser. Fuck those little 3mg human grade turd caplets.
I've heard Black Seed Oil is a reasonable Ivermectin alternative too, though I doubt it kills the parasites.
The injectable kind is even better value. And you can eat it just the same
Do you portion the injectable version the same as the paste?
https://www.heartlandvetsupply.com/p-5759-vetrimec-1-injection-for-cattle-and-swine.aspx great economy and it's in stock
You just have to ask an associate for it at Tractor Supply and they'll get it for you.
If you decide to buy online, there are generic brands available for $1.50/tube at some vet supply shops. I think I got mine from a place called Heartland Veterinary Supply. Same specs as the $8 brands.
What are the expiration dates like on these? Worth buying 10-20 tubes?
Can you see if you can order it or perhaps call around and drive to where it is?
Did you check chewy and other mail order port supplies?
It was out of stock most retail locations for the last few months, but back in stock again recently. Los Angeles. Picked some up last week, and the week before.
