What a waste of a beautiful tree.
Shame these people can't buy a smaller tree with intact roots to enjoy inside in a pot and then plant it outside.
Or forego the pagan tree ritual altogether.
That tree was planted and farmed for the reason of being cut down for Christmas. So if there was no tree tradition this tree would have never been planted, so there is no net loss on trees
We stopped buying trees back in 2008 instead we bought a really good, realistic looking tree at Sears - back when Sears was actually still decent. My only regret is not buying it sooner, no watering to deal with, no needles all over the house showing up six months later while cleaning, no accidentally throwing away an heirloom ornament with the tree (happened one year). It’s so much more easy to deal with all around. The only argument would be the loss of the smell of the tree, you can easily purchase garland or a wreath to help replicate the fragrance.
Or buy some of those pine scented car deodarizers that are shaped like a tree and hang on the rear view mirror. Just hide in center of tree. Works great as I used to do this, but now I buy a real tree.
Fraser Fir doesn't lose it's needles.
Maybe communist.win would be a better channel for you
It's not communist to focus on the real traditions of the celebration of Jesus Christ and learn the differences between the pagan aspects that were shoehorned into Christianity.
Mistletoe, red and green lights, ribbon around the tree, worship of the tree: all of these things are pagan and have pagan origins.
Feel free to celebrate Christmas however you like, however our family tries to focus only on Jesus Christ and his life and teachings, without the pagan additions that don't belong.
No reason to attack a fellow Christians over a different perspective.
Its a heart issue. God knows the heart...I have a Christmas tree and I am not celebrating a pagan ritual. Relax
Exactly. I know no one who “worships” a tree. These same people who complain about this, don’t mind nagging us when their internet goes down, or electricity goes out for a week. Anything can be an idol worship.
Weren't you the one attacking someone for decorating their house with a tree? No reason to attack someone over their perspective.
I don't believe Jesus loves us all. We are all God's children and there is no master-races, irrespective of what a certain blood-line claims.
Pretty sure you've got that backwards. They shoved Christianity in existing Pagan traditions.
Most trees here are either farmed, or you get a tag from the BLM to cut down a tree that would be forested anyhow. They have to thin out the trees for fire mitigation and also for the health of the forest, so not all trees can be saved like little puppies. Even big, pretty trees can become something better. If you lived here, you wouldn't be crying over a tree. Get out of the big city and into the mountains and see how many trees there are, and learn how too many hurts the health of all of them (kinda like deer and elk herds). This tree will be appreciated more in someone's living room than it ever could have been hidden among the other trees, then burned up in a forest fire or eaten by beetles or other bugs, the it dies, falls and is trash anyhow.
I read 300 million Chinese were converting to Christianity. I did think of all the poor Christmas Trees. We should sell them really nice artificial trees.
Made in China???? 😉
You're on tje sales team to begin with. Your other talents will sort themselves out.
Watches and clocks I know, Once, on ebay, I sold some coal to a student living in New Castle England.... I propose going to thrifts and buying up all the artificial trees and put em in containers to be sent to China...
