Sorry to hijack your top comment, but people should know farm suppliers sell fish antibiotics that is IDENTICAL to what doctors prescribes for humans, in pills of the same dosage that are manufactured by the same companies but cost 1/10th the price and don't require a doctor's prescription.
It's ALWAYS handy to keep a few boxes of antibiotics in your medical kit for when you need it, without having to screw around with doctor scripts.
Preppers have been stockpiling fish antibiotics for decades. It's not controversial or debated, it's just smart.
Fishmox 500mg capsules are 100% Amoxicillin and in the same dose.
You mean a fish gets the same dose as an adult human?
Does it matter how much the fish weighs? I usually think of them as smaller than people. Maybe because I'm not a good fisherman. :)
Aren’t fish tablets just dropped into aquariums.
I’m not sure how you convince a fish to always swallow their antibiotics?
Use a lure?
You put the capsule in the tank.....
Thank you for hijacking the top comment.
And for those living in countries where fish antibiotics are banned from being sold to the public (like in Canada), or for those who try to avoid antibiotics because they damage your health and are increasingly ineffective against bacterial infections, try the following:
Colloidal silver, which is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, and has been in use since Ancient Greece. You can buy a colloidal silver generator for a very reasonable price and produce your own, which I recommend since buying colloidal silver in health food stores is a lot more expensive in the long run.
Iodine, which cures so many things that it would be faster to list what it doesn't cure. Among many things, it is considered by many to be the greatest antibiotic of all time.
I've had my silver generator for years. Originally I got it for my cat, to get her off prednisone. It worked! I fired it up again when all this covid stupidity started up. We do a 2 oz. shot every morning...and haven't gotten sick at all since.
NIce, I bought myself a generator this year and I love it. The crazy thing is that store-bought colloidal silver is so overpriced that the generator literally paid for itself (and then some) the first batch I made.
But yeah, colloidal silver definitely works, not only that but I find it works better, and much faster, than antibiotics. I didn't know you could take such large doses, though, I'd been told no more than half an ounce, and not too often. So it's interesting to hear you're having such good results with daily 2-ounce doses. But I still take some regularly or at the slightest hint of a cold - right now it's absolutely vital for the unvaxxed to avoid being hospitalized for any reason.
Easy way to get Iodine in your system:
Buy the wound dressing Iodine.
Draw a 2x2 square on the inside of your arm (elbow) or on your thigh using the iodine and then fill it in with Iodine.
Wait 5 minutes
If you are deficient in Iodine, this square should disappear within that 5 minutes
Do this once a week or as needed
Didn't know this was a thing, I'll have to give it a try as I suspect I may have an iodine deficiency. Thanks very much for sharing fren!
iodine used to be in bread until the powers that be removed it causing a goiters epidemic.
Got my supply about 8 years ago from Canada and mylared them to keep them fresh. Used them once, and my sinus infection went away.
This is the first we're seeing of this. Could you state what type, dosage, where to get, anything would be great, thanks
Not an expert, but here's what I know.
Type: There are several types of fish antibiotics, the most common is amoxicillin (fish mox). Second most common is penicillin. But any type of antibiotics will do, they all work for humans (because they were developed for humans in the first place, not for fish) so as long as you're not allergic to them you should be fine.
Where to get: In a pet store or fish store, either at a physical location or online. Note that some countries, like Canada, have banned fish antibiotics from being sold to the public, though if that's the case it's still possible you could buy some online from another country and have it shipped to you.
Dosage: These antibiotics are identical to human antibiotics, and as such they come in the same exact capsules as human antibiotics. So you can just look up the recommended dosage for whichever type of antibiotics you bought, and take that many pills each day for however many days the recommended course of treatment lasts.
