I love references that only boomers get ... or someone exposed to our great music.
Ok, does boomer mean anyone older than a millennial? Because I'm pretty sure my actual boomer grandma has no clue who Tom Petty is.
Boomer = Baby Boomer
There's still Gen X before Millennials.
I take it you're not one of the researchers?
Simple lookup. Tom Petty “Refugee” from 1979. Baby Boomer generation born 1946-1964 making them 15-33 years old so, yes, it’s a boomer tune.

You've proved me wrong! Tom Petty's Refugee is as boomer as it comes and it still rocks! Haha
I just thought classifying Tom Petty's music as "boomer music" seemed a little out of place, so I was asking the commenter to clarify their definition of boomer.
So what was a 1969 and 1966 birthday?
Gen X

i'm a boomer grandma and Tom Petty is my generation
I guess you're right. I forget the boomers encompass a 20 year period. Anyone from 76 years old to 56 years old is technically a boomer.
