This is true. I see a lot of good people on the left who have been convinced that the left is the side of compassion and good. They have been swindled and I hope they continue to wake up to it.

Sometimes you have to stare at evil in the face to realize it exists. Some of us grew up seeing evil, others saw evil later in life, but we all will face it and recognize it at some point.

The thought that their government wants to kill them has STILL not entered the minds of most people.

This is so very true and sadly all too common.

Whatever is the name for that specific bias, we all have it where, because we are kind and DON'T want to murder hundreds of millions of our fellow man, we naïvely assume that everyone else is like that too...
