Please don’t if it’s on your mind. We are here if you need to talk. But to answer that question, only God can. You’re not supposed to take what God gave you (your life). But in the case of Judas, I don’t think he went to hell. Christ knew what he’d do. Reality for us is, there is always a choice.
And usually there is a way out of any situation, unless you’re in a forced position, like jail, captured, or about to be killed/executed.
But if you’re not in a forced position and able to make a choice, chose life, and figure an option. When you can’t think of an option yourself, ask for help. But make the choice to accept an option given that doesn’t lead to your loss of life.
start a prayer request thread, there are a lot of people here from all walks of life and it wouldn’t hurt to see if anyone can offer advice from experience or prayer.
Suicide is a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. You will go to hell and spend the rest of eternity in torment, wishing you had just dealt with this stupid temporary problem you have, in this life. Cast aside your problems at the feet of Christ and live.
What happens to those children who've had the will to live gang-raped out of them... who are so fucked up that they can no longer speak or eat or recognize people and are so damaged they hate everyone and everything and kill themselves.
I have a hard time believing that one ends up in Hell for suicide in every situation, though I do agree that we will torment ourselves over our own inability to figure it out (which very well may be what so many consider Hell).
I am so saddened by the friends I have had that did not have enough compassion & support in their lives that they felt suicide was the only way out.
I also have wondered if even higher laws, that we have not chosen to live/do not comprehend as a people, compel justice for those who did not step in when they could have to help prevent those deaths & ease the burdens of their fellows before that time of crisis. If that is true, nearly all of us will be so grateful for our Savior's compassion during that judgment.
Amen
Thanks and Praise to the Lord Jesus!
That's how it goes :D
Amen.
Thanks for this reminder. God only gives you what you can handle or put another way, I will be given what I need to overcome and to praise God.
It's not automatic.
Thank you Jesus
thank you Jesus
So is suicide a sin that can potentially land you in hell?

I’ve always said to myself if I ever get in a situation so bad I consider suicide, at that point I have more freedom than I will ever have.
With suicide you choose to cut off all ties to everything, and do not care about the consequences to your loved ones.
If you choose to live you can cut off everything you don’t need and do something for you.
Move country, change job, whatever it takes. You are free.
When we get those thoughts, we should pray to God to help us overcome them.
I am thankful that you don't understand.
That you've never had to force-feed a child that just wanted to die.
I’m genuinely sorry to hear that.

My wife works with helping abused children.

Surely those children aren't tormented forever?
I see our Savior, & most fierce advocate, as one who will forgive far more than we can comprehend.
God our father must demand justice, his son & our brother may forgive anything he wishes since he paid for all sins in Gethsemane & never needed to.

All I can say is what my mother told me about the subject. NOTHING in this life is bad enough to take your own.
