Two people in my small circle are having a cognitive issue from covid. Neither vaxxed so cant blame it on that. One was following the ivernmectin protocol. One wasnt. Both seem to have altzeimer/dementia symptoms. Both in their early 70s. Both happened during the illness. Both perfectly fine mentally before. Both have undergone mri/ct scans with no problems found. One has been dealing with it unsuccessfully for 18 months. The other since right before Christmas. Im wondering if anybody has come across this side effect or have found any resources of what might help. Thank you guys!

Did they have their pneumonia shot on their 70 year check up? It is routine. My MIL got ALS after her pneumonia shot (died 2 years later) and my father got pancreatitis right after. Still deals with bouts of that from time to time.

My father 84 2x vaxxed and booster person … he was in fine physical health in late October - took the booster early Nov 2021 and sadly he’s gone off the ‘a cliff’ - his short term memory is gone … he shuffles instead of walking now, he can no longer manage his complex medication schedule (including insulin) and now it turns out he has liver damage… came out of no where! The guy was a strong Irish man / slowing down the last few years - but totally w/it; living alone … now we are scrambling to arrange for assisted living / nursing care …. This is NOT a coincidence…. This is murder !

Probably micro blood clots in brain. Mini strokes essentially Mental status change in the elderly is one reason to check them for COVID

More likely to show in MRI. CT scan might miss mini clots.
Depends on size. Big clots definitely, but smaller ones pre-stroke... Probably requires a technician to answer.
Just pointing this out, but most vaccines (not just the ghey Covid ones) have the ability to induce this type of mental behavior in adults. There is a substance that crosses the blood-brain barrier and causes harm to the brain. Have they been getting “yearly” flu shots for decades? What is their water source? Maybe their bodies can’t filter as easily and they are now experiencing years of toxic buildup.

I have a few friends who have told me the same thing after they recovered from Covid. Of those few friends, a couple told me around a year later that things were getting better slowly but surely.
One of my friends is incredibly intelligent and has been struggling with not being quite as quick as she used to be. Her memory is spacey and she can get lost in the middle of a sentence.
I've told her that as she continues to improve, she just needs to make room to adapt her behaviors a bit. No, she didn't used to need a planner to keep track of her stuff, but for right now, maybe it'd be helpful. Maybe instead of having that conversation on the phone, she can write it out in an email where she can double-check her words.
In my opinion, it's about adapting to the change rather than fighting it. Maybe it'll clear up over time, or maybe they'll figure out how to reverse it more quickly, but in the meantime, you have the brain you have, and you can find ways to adapt if your brain is working a little differently than you're used to.
With my sister in law, she's forgotten where light switches are in a house she's lived in since 1978. Couldn't find my bathroom which was 5 feet away and has been here 100s of times. No signs of improvement after 18 months and neurologist cannot find anything wrong.
I noticed the same with my parents. My mom had issues before that have gotten worse. My dad's developed and seem to be worsening rapidly. I've definitely heard of this as a side effect. Prion related illnesses.
Yes, unfortunately, Covid causes neurological issues. I am extra cautious because I have epilepsy.
