What's more believable? That a volcano erupted under the ocean, or that someone built a base under the ocean that later exploded.

It's Occam's Razor.
We know that underwater volcanos exist. That's how Iceland and Hawaii were formed. We also know that eruptions can be unpredictable and spontaneous, just look at what Mt Vesuvius did to Pompeii, or what Mt St. Helens did in Washington state.
It'd be an extremely expensive engineering marvel to build a base under the ocean. I'd argue it's easier to build a base on Antarctica than under the ocean. Even if such a base could be built, getting people in and out of the base would likewise be an expensive engineering marvel requiring the use of submarines. And even if both of those things were true, what motive is there to be in that location under the ocean?
It doesn't make any sense, so I'm going to believe the official story on this one.

I'm in total agreement on this. Volcanos can be cataclysmic. Fairly certain we just watched one blow it's load. Deep underwater bases in that part of the Pacific would be a phenomenal feat of engineering

Mt. St. Helens eruption was not unexpected. They were warning it would happen for weeks. What the did not know was how big and devastating it would be.

Lol stop being rational. I have been in at least one area many would consider dumb and I don't buy any of the dumb stuff. It lacks evidence and is so impractical it is almost laughable.....now the megayachts that can convert to submarines you should keep your eye on that. That would be the way to go for sketchiness and doctor evils of the world.

I lived nearly 259 miles from My St Helens when it blew and heard it. I was ten years old and watching Saturday morning cartoons.

I live way up north of the Pacific in the arctic. We were hearing reverberating sounds like a bomb went off. We thought our local power plant had exploded. I think we were hearing the echoes of this detonation.

Looks like a volcano, andthen there's all the footage of a volcano erupting at the same location. Sometimes a volcano is just a volcano.
Where would it be located? Perhaps since I read that it was headed to West Coast, my prophetic dream from four years ago about the tsunami hitting Deception Pass is about to come true.
