Just seen a post from another site as they were discussing the whole 11.3 DOD Law of War theory that has caught traction here the last couple of days. One of the commenters stated that the wall was just used to barrier off the fountain itself. It prompted me to look at the came for myself and it seems as true. You can see from the screenshot with the timestamp that it was taken minutes before this post was made. Your thoughts??
Why would they need to barrier off the fountain? I am puzzled. What am I missing?

That's what I'm saying or asking. I can see groundwork around it that looks like they are working on it. But that's why this post was made, to get ppl to chime in with other opinions
I read elsewhere they are doing construction on the fountain, maybe piping, and the wall is to not make it so “junky” looking with digging, etc. but who knowssssss
Seems like an odd time of year to replace water piping to a fountain. Why not just turn it off until the weather warms up?
To do maintenance? It doesn't exactly look like concrete slabs, but painted wood-planks on concrete slabs..

I think the gaps in the barriers on the White House side are for visual transparency for the SS. Just in case somebody gets in and tries to hide in there
What would be the need to wall it off if it was a redesign or landscaping. Your picture shows it isn't hiding what ever will be going on there.

Ya'll are way off. Its gonna be a new improved, no, greatly improved fountain, why this fountain is gonna be HUUUUGE! IT is gonna be the best fountain, better than those pikers in Italy or France, this fountain will have statues of the greatest, and I mean the greatest American lovin' statesmen of all time, and an open space for a FUTURE Statesman who loves America. They will look out in each direction surveying the vista of waving grains to the mountains and prairies and the oceans, with cherubs above and dolphins playing freely in the water. Why this will be the winningest fountain ever, and it will be done not right on time but ahead of schedule in time for a real 21 gun president!

I'm not convinced, this looks like a normal construction site where an area is blocked off while work is being done, I've seen this all the time with construction sites, this keeps the public out of harms way and safe from the work being done. It's surrounding a fountain for crying out loud.
So is it just maintenance or removing or rebuilding a new fountain? Just saying.
It looks like privacy fencing for construction.
