Reporter - Q: Could school reopening or closures become a potent midterm issue for Republicans to win back the suburbs?
Joe Biden - A: Oh, I think it could be. And we hope that we got that there uh – that… Look - -.
Maybe I’m kidding myself. But as time goes on, the voter…who…is…just tryin’ to figure out – as I said… how to take care of the family, put three squares on the tables, stay safe, able pay the mortgage, or the rent, etc. Uh, has, is, becoming much more informed on the um, (staring downward)…..the motives of…um… some of the political – players.
And, some of the….. and the political parties. And I think that…they are not gonna be as susceptible to believing some of the outlandish things that have been said and continue to be said.
You know, every – every – president, not necessarily in the first twelve months, but every president in the first couple of years – (closing eyes) most every president – excuse me – the last presidents – at least four of them – have had polling numbers that are 44%. Favorable. (smiles) So this idea that – but you all – not you all but – now is, ‘well Biden’s at’ - one poll shows him at 33%. The average is 4 - 44 - 45%. One poll had him at 49%. I mean…
The idea that um……….
The American public are trying to sift their way through…..
what’s real and what’s fake… and, I don’t think..as…uh…
I’ve never seen a time (stares downward) …when…the political coverage…the... (squeezes eyes shut)
the choice of what political coverage the voter looks to… has as much impact on as what they believe.
They go to get reinforced. In their views. Whether it’s uh.. MSNBC or whether it’s Fox. But I mean,
And… one of the things I find fascinating, that’s happening, and you all are dealing with it every day, and it will impact on, on, how things move… is that uh, a lot on speculation in the polling data shows, that thee um, that thee uh, ‘cables’ are headin’ south (points downward).
Your losing viewership. You know? .. oh? Fox is OK, for a while, but it’s not gaining… a lot of rest are predicted to be…not very much in the mix. In the next four to five years. I don’t know if if it’s true or not, but I do know that we have sort of uh, put everybody in, put themselves in certain alleys. And they’ve decided that, you know, how many people who, watch MSNBC also watch Fox with a new politician trying to find out what’s goin’ on…in both places. How many people, again…I’m no expert in any of this, but the fact is I think you have to acknowledge that, what gets covered now is necessarily a little bit different then what gets covered in the past.
I’ve had a couple…oh, I shouldn’t say this… (staring down and clutching a book)… but the nature… not… (squeezes eyes shut)… the nature of the way things get covered… is in my observation over the years I’ve been involved in public life…. changed. And it’s changed because of everything from a thing called the internet…. It’s changed because of the way which..uh..we have self-identified perspectives based on what channel you turn on… what, what network you look at, what network, what cable you look at…and, it’s um…it’s never quite been like that.
The same thing, but backwards, slowly, and with horrible pauses in between successive non-sequiturs. Anyone who believes he's the president would be painfully embarrassed if they had to listen. I made it to 1:17
I watched the whole thing, it was mostly word salad; he almost said the media is going down because they’re liars and ppl have become more informed to this fact.
My brain hurts! He never even came close to mentioning anything about the question he was asked much less making any sense in whatever he was muttering. 🤪🤪
I transcribed it. Here you go:

Wow. Stellar transcription fren! 💪🏼
Gives an exact sense of the mental crap he's got to be working through.
A legend good sir, we thank you.
His actor is doing a great job to make him look like a dumb ass, wow that was like watching paint dry and when it dried there was no paint
lol... this potato is mashed!!
I could only last about 17 seconds in to his answer. What did he say?
The same thing, but backwards, slowly, and with horrible pauses in between successive non-sequiturs. Anyone who believes he's the president would be painfully embarrassed if they had to listen. I made it to 1:17
I made it to 3:05 before giving up. He didn't seem to be making any point.
Gotta play it backwards now...
See my reply above.
it sounds the same lol
I’m not as think as you stoned I am…
I listened for almost three minutes. What the hell was he saying?
I can’t it’s just a speech salad at this point.
I watched the whole thing, it was mostly word salad; he almost said the media is going down because they’re liars and ppl have become more informed to this fact.
Is this where Briden marks end of 1st year in office with the White House news conference?
I would love to know who is talking in his ear piece ...I kind of think it is those comedians from impractical jokers...
My brain hurts! He never even came close to mentioning anything about the question he was asked much less making any sense in whatever he was muttering. 🤪🤪
