What legal status change?
Juan O Savin said other legal avenues open up on the one year anniversary date of the belligerent occupying force.
Legal avenues that wash military forces hands of breaking Geneva Convention rules of warfare. Gives them room to get work done without ever being prosecuted for war crimes.

What kind of war crimes do you expect to happen?
Are you ok with the military committing war crimes?
Do you think the military personnel asked to commit war crimes will be ok with it?
Why are war crimes even necessary?
Im ok with war crimes as long as it involves destroying all the Commies in this country. Im over playing nice with these fucks. They are the reason everything is fubar. They can all die. Idgaf.
“This ending isn’t for everyone” -Q
The only war crime happening will be the continuation of our military standing down and teaming up with the occupying force, at the expense of the health and prosperity of the citizens.
Why are you asking ME personally? This has nothing to do with what I personally think is okay or not.
You're emotional.
I just find "legal avenues that wash military forces hands of breaking Geneva Convention rules of warfare" very improbably and just as improbable for many (if any) in the current military to need them because I doubt they would go along with orders that say "Hey don't worry, you can commit these actual war crimes we tell you to commit. We've got your back legally. Trust us."
I asked you personally because I wonder what someone who repeats this ludicrous idea thinks it actually refers to. I mean are we talking on-the-spot executions with no due process? Torture? Inhumane treatment of prisoners? Mutilation and experimentation? Attacking unarmed civilians? Rape? Pillaging?
These are the types of war crimes that the Geneva Conventions prohibit.
Not emotional. Slightly amused and definitely curious how anyone could take that statement seriously.
They shouldn't be prosecuted for war crimes because they'd be defending their own country.
They have to be able to show they were defending against a belligerent force.
That's some stinky bullshit right there.
Not sure the proper term to apply from, but To: Belligerant occupying force, IIRC.
Aslong as we arent the occupying force
