There are quite a few heading in from the lower 48 to stand with our brothers and sisters in Canada. My uncle drove a truck for many years in the Chicago area. He often said if you want to bring this country to it’s knees, stop the trucking industry. He was dead on right.
I know Canadians as well as I know Americans. I grew up in the Detroit area and have travelled there multiple times per year my entire life for hockey and to vacation or shopping/casino/food/boobie bars when I turned 18 lol. My wife is Canadian. All my in laws live there in the Windsor to Toronto corridor along the 401. My son is in Toronto. Half my dads family lives in Joggins NS.
These are our brothers and sisters. Never has a people who is so intertwined, so similar to each other, been separated by an international border. Canadians are as self reliant as we are. People think Canadians are laid back and unassuming but in reality they just want to be left the fuck alone to raise their families and live their lives as they see fit. Just like Americans.
