If you cannot make it make sense you do not understand it which means you have simply accepted it as the truth. I like to say explain it to me like I am 5. Too often information is over presented to confuse. Simplify it and I will see if those pieces can work together without all the fancy fluff talk. In discussion I do not feel like I should be taking an assessment test to determine my critical thinking and reason abilities. That is for lectures. Tell me the truth also expects a lie and closes of the ability to see and an absolute truth can be simplified to a statement without the necessary support provided, lies can also exist in this form and we might be none the wiser for the experiences. If it doesn't work it cannot be explained in a way that does without observation of the Truth overwhelming potential falsities.
As a zoomer, I'm just going to point out a lot of us aren't like that. Personally, I'd rather be told the truth on my things. Usually when I don't want to hear the truth it's because I know it's something that will send me flying into a rage because of how stupid it is, and I'm trying to be civil. For example, hearing about a pedophile being defended makes me have to suppress the urge to beat someone with a chair. Granted, I'm pretty sure that's a normal reaction, but I digress. I'd rather just not talk about it and try to remain semi civil most of the time.
They still want someone to do something for them. They should be searching, digging for the facts, truth if they really cared about it. You can’t plant a hunger for the truth. You either have it or you don’t. If you have it...it drives you.
I always say my world has to make sense. Lies can't make it make sense. Lies always lead to contradiction and hypocrisy. So for me, the truth is the only thing that can make something make sense
They know it is all fake. The propaganda is so unbelievable now.
You can't make it make sense. It's because it is wrong. But they are still scared of exerting any moral influence on their peers.
We gen-x would just call it wrong and tell everyone sarcastically.
Counter discussion.

Blaire White says it a lot too. It's just a way of saying, "that makes no goddamm sense."
Good analysis...
Agree.
