I have seen some videos of truck stops packing up meals, Hutterite communities providing meals, church groups packing lunches but I am with you - would be more than happy to buy a gift card, send money to a specific restaurant to offset some meals

Can't validate that. I know the " policy" is that they need to be vaxed but what the truckers want if Freedom of Choice not mandates. They may have needed to show a card but we also know that there are many "fake cards" available.
