I foresee a future where the United States of America undergoes a new era of expansionism. These are the territories I suspect will be on the US's radar as expansionism takes place:
Greenland: Yes, there will be a round two of trying to obtain Greenland. Ultimately, the Netherlands ain't doing anything with it
Western Canada: I suspect the WEXIT Movement will only grow after the Canadian corruption exposes itself. Because of this reason the four provinces of Western Canada will further experience "western alienation" and ultimately side with the United States.
The Canadian Territories: For the same reasons above. Canada ain't doing anything with it and they have no representation in the Canadian government.
Northern Mexico: Mexico will eventually collapse into crisis and the Northern region of Mexico, which is already closer to the US than to the Mexican Capital, will ultimately leave the nation and join the US.
Several Caribbean Nations: After Puerto Rico gains their statehood, I imagine that the people of several Caribbean nations would become more open to joining the United States for more freedoms, a better standard of living, and less corruption.
NOTE: I am very familiar with the Puerto Rican people. They WILL become a state. Also, I believe the US could expand further Southwards, but I would be against it as we'd be better off in first assimilating the new Latin American territories into our culture before admitting newer territories.
Shit, we clearly can't deal with the states we have now. We don't need more territory we need more AMERICANS.
Why would we want to expand our government more?
These areas should be free to govern themselves if they want to.
Annexation means taking over by force. If these nations vote for their independence, then make a request to join the USA, and then the USA accepts them, this 3 part process is completely NOT annexation.
So does that mean we'll have to move the wall further south?
Talk about moving the goal posts.
There's already a "moat" at Panama. :)
Greenland is Denmark I believe
No one is giving up those minerals
Territories apply for statehood. Let them become independent on their own, and then apply.
Let's rescue our own captured territories first. Places like New York and California that used to be part of the United States before the commies took over.
The US had a chance to buy Cuba over 100 years ago.
The only problem with adding states is keeping our flag nice looking. If we added one state, where would that star go?
I've been through one flag revision back in 1959, going from 48 to 50 states. I don't really want to go through another one. My flag is a nice one and has a few more years of life before it needs to be replaced.
Adding one state would mean 51 stars...
... which would be three sets of 17!
Never should have given Mexico back in the first place !
we should not annex Mexico, no offense to Mexicans but i do not want you here. mexico can bring itself out of corruption if it gets its shit together when all of this is done.
When the full corruption in the U.S. is exposed, Mexico will look like rookies. America leads in this category but we also lead is deceiving us, the people, but not for much longer! WWG1WGA
I don't want Vancouver. The rest of BC can come, but screw Vancouver. It can be a self governing city state for all I care.
I wouldnt mind killing off the cartels but we been full up on Mexican for awhile now
