No, life imprisonment doesn't equal them coming to kill him. I'm not saying that defending himself against the corrupt government coming to take him away in the night is bad, but they weren't trying to kill him. That's fine, but he didn't shoot them because they were there to kill him.

There was a video of this whole thing on YT, when Bill Cooper was killed. He had sent his wife and child away because he was aware they were coming. Officials surrounded his home and shot him as he came out. It is unclear if he also had shot at them.
