It's Stockholm syndrome. They've come to love there vax masters even know they've been lied to and harmed by them. They have to justify the jab to themselves. Where I work everyone in my department except myself and a coworker are not vaxxed. We both got the ccp flu and got over it, but... Half the department also got it! They wanted to use this very excuse but know us non vaxxed selfish people got it and recovered. We took away their excuse and trust me they hate us for it. Now jab #3 is being mandated and a lot of them don't want it but oops to late! I have a religious exemption and am enjoying watching them freak out. So basically don't get discouraged! We're winning and it's picking up momentum everyday.
Agreed. I had a coworker (who had two shots and the booster) recently say that he didn’t get the shots to not wear a mask. He did it because he thought it was the healthy thing to do. He also said he is not getting another shot. He’s done. I thought that was encouraging to hear!

Just an addition, We've had a number of people asking about our religious exemption and this includes a VP. They say they don't want this 3rd jab because it doesn't work. We were looked down upon by ALL our coworkers when we got our exemptions. They stopped talking to us, they were hostile, and they blamed covid on the non-vaccinated. Now the 3rd is being mandated by the governor of this commie state they're waking up and now were being seen as the smart ones not to fall for this. Now, most still hate us but a lot are turning the corner and seeing the light. I would say there motivations for wanting a religious exemption are a little bit misguided and selfish and have nothing to do with religious beliefs but that's none of my business just like it's none of a restaurants business to ask about my medical status to buy a meal.

Anytime you see non masked people, and make eye contact it's like yup...they know and the masked ones NEVER make eye contact, they look at the ground when not looking at a product. That's the subconscious saying "this is wrong and you know it".

After that, the plebs started looking for things to confirm this bias. Odds favor their knowing someone who died of it, as they were told: the personal connection will help convince them they are also in danger. The illusion is reinforced with changed definitions, obfuscated data, media reports, a useless test that was the defining mark.
After a few months of this, it's understandable many would be ready to embrace a vaccine. The vaccine makers know that most of their customers will end up infected sooner or later. They plant this new bias, "it would have been worse without the vaccine." But this is not only unprovable, it reinforces their faith in the vaccine when their illness turns out to be less than they feared. So debunking the vaccine is hard without also reforming the impression of the disease and promoting treatment instead.
I tell them this. I've never had the shot or the covid period. The shot makes covid in yku amd then you hope to respond without dying. Some die I'm glad you didn't but it wasn't the shot that saved you. It was dumb luck.
In reading these responses what came to my mind...... Many years ago a coworker and I were talking about the flu shot. I told her then that I dont take them because it is always for the previous years strain and we dont know whats in it. She said if you get this years flu it wont be as bad and I said how can you tell, how can you judge bad, a little less bad or very bad. She got mad and walked off.
So I think saying 'it could have been worse' is a standard response even from way back when you dont have a real answer.

I don’t get the flu shot. Been fine. Got my diet, and my faith, in order and I’m doing great. Also, I started time restricted feeding (intermittent fasting) daily, and it’s been very good for me. I don’t get sick like I used to.
