I’m gobsmacked that after two years of complete failure to stop Mr. Covid, she doesn’t realize GOVERNMENT restrictions never worked in the first place. That’s a fact she probably doesn’t want to recognize.
Their argument is that it's not the governments just randomly deciding to keep mandates, but that the mandates continue because covid is still spreading a lot. They're sarcastically saying that "Mr Covid," ie the virus itself, is determining when mandates may be lifted by covid getting to the point it's not spreading as much.
Some people do. I've had to be more careful and do less things out in public because I have multiple autoimmune conditions and am a cancer survivor. So I'm obviously at much higher risk than a typical person with a healthy immune system would be. Some of us don't have the choices or the health that a lot of healthy people have, so we do have to have our lives be more determined by covid because otherwise we may not have a life, or may the up with more long term problems than we already have. I don't need more health problems than I already have, and even if I don't end up with something long term from covid, with my shitty immune system I'd rather not deal with getting sick if at all possible. I'm already sick enough of the time...
Is it really Mr. Covid that is driving the restrictions? Or is it Mr. Lying Statistics that is driving the restrictions?
