the single strongest consistent factor among all battered women is hope. That's a big reason why some women get sucked into that shit.
I think ya gotta get mad and stay mad, and just take a few tokies of good hopium every now and then and then shove that stash of hopium back in the sock drawer, bake some tendies, and get mad some more.
Not getting mad to be full of stress, but getting mad to do something proactive and light a fire under your butt.
I think generally when one is tempted to hope, one could transition that hope feeling into a feeling of certainty in the future because Jesus is King. Try to relax about the future, but stay mad about shit thats messed up in the present. All the sin all around.
Hope gives people the STRENGTH to fight on, it doesn't make them complacent.
Wherever that theme came from, I wish it would go back.
Along with a desire to do something to make things better
