That was very scary to watch. Hopefully she makes a full recovery.
My aunt had a massive stroke when she was in her 50s and luckily she acted quickly enough that it did not do permanent damage. I encourage everyone to learn the FAST acronym and learn how to spot stroke symptoms.

If all four of those things seem off in a person, they are likely having a stroke. Get them to a hospital immediately.

Still spent 4 hrs in the ER. I told the attendant when I checked in that I couldn't use my arm, she said "maybe you slept on it wrong, have a seat over there" lol

I woke up with numbness in left arm & face. Got to ER fast. Got clot busting drug quickly and recovered completely in a couple months.
Another fine reason to go get a jab within the next 15 minutes like we were asked!

Half her face is going numb. She is familiar enough with the existence of such symptoms to recognize she is experiencing them.
She's early, it gets way worse the longer you wait. You can tell just by the way she slurs and sort of hunts for words that somethings up. I wish her luck.

EXACT same thing happened to me ... I thought I was having a heart attack though ... I had every damn symptom of one except pain. I fucking hate those things.
Fair enough. My mother had a pulmonary embolism while I held her in my arms, trying to walk her back to bed. I thought she was having a stroke. She was a retired R.N. and she knew it was not a stroke, although she did not know exactly what was happening. She was alert and aware the whole time we waited for the ambulance to arrive.
