Well it is horrible for our environment as it’s a bad use for our very limited lithium. We need lithium to make our highest quality batteries, and recycling lithium is far harder than mining it. Using up lithium makes it rarer and more expensive. Why are we using it up to make giant car batteries when they are charged using fuel sources anyways? We need it for microelectronics where batteries are actually the only reasonable power source. The power grid cannot sustain of every person were to own an EV and charging it all at once anyways. It’s not a solution to environmental problems, it exasperates it.

there's no benefit and a giant waste of effort. allows people to become more inattentive or ignorant to the automobile while they sit back and let it drive itself, which doesn't even work right half the time. they are the push against the internal combustion engine.

Where do people think all that lithium comes from for those batteries

Meanwhile we have centuries of nat gas, and we can make biofuel out of plastic bottles and garbage.

Get people to accept the truth that global warming is a deepstate hoax, and we're good to go
