People always say, God wins, but they never seem to clarify how, and in what form.
I am reminded of a story a former pastor told, of a man drowning and rejecting a swimmer, then a boat, and then a helicopter, saying each time God would save him. When he dies, he asks God why he didn't save him, and God tells him he tried, having sent a swimmer, a boat and then a helicopter.
I think this question is akin to asking “What is my purpose?” — “Why am I here?”
It’s the struggle of Life man, one that we will ask for all our days, and then one day when we do meet our Lord, HE will then ask the Questions…
“What have you with your Purpose?”
“What have you Done with your time on Earth?”
I think once you look at it that way, the question on How God Wins becomes irrelevant, because by believing in God in of itself is the Answer you need.
I think God created us to know him and to worship Him. There are people that are reluctant to worship God but then they worship a whole bunch of infinitely finite things that God created
Wayyyyyy back in Elementary school, in Religion class, we learned "God made us to love him, know him, and serve him on this Earth". I was 6 at that time. Now I'm 70 and it has not really changed! LOL
And His ways, His Plans and His doings are so much higher and more complex than we could ever comprehend. We are but a tiny speck of a giant puzzle and we cannot even begin to fathom the outer workings of what is going on with the many other pieces we are not able to see.
You know there's about a thousand times more stars in the visible Universe than grains of sand on earth. People can't even begin to visualize that and yet they try to visualize God.
Off topic, but your comment about God sending us Q, made me think of a time I fell outside and was unable, at the time, to get back up because of painful, bad knees. Two young men in a truck just happened to drive by and came over to help me up. I was so very thankful that God had sent me 2 angels to aid me.
Exactly. Could God's plan be to have the Cabal execute most virtuous Christians so that they'll join Him in His Kingdom? It's very likely. I don't think humans could come up and execute a multi-century plan without some divine help. We know that God often works through flawed people after all.
Speaking of God, of Q & of the end times.... You just wrote: "God sent us Q"
um, the thought just hit me, do you think, it just might be that Q is one of those last witnesses mentioned in the bible (Revelation 11:1-14.)? Or maybe even both of them when we find out who Q is??? Just a thought that hit me, atm. If so we will eventually know who they are, of course. That could be why Q says: "God wins" & maybe, as an actual prophet, knows for a fact that God does indeed have a plan in place to save us in the end, etc etc.
I believe it refers to when Jesus says that he has overcome the world and that upon his return that the chaff will be separated into the furnace of fire. Who is stronger than God? I think it's more silly of people who say that some fictional character is godlike because they have some large power, but the real God is more powerful than one could even imagine. Yet these freemasons believe they can challenge him at skyfall. Insanity.
Amen to this! I always like this analogy!! And the one where the guy prays and prays and prays that he will win the lottery so he can fulfill his beautiful dream of helping struggling people. Finally he prays, " why, oh why, Father, do you not answer my prayer?" And then he had a breakthrough! He heard an angelic voice softly say..."Buy a ticket"
It's a comfort that they tell themselves so they can excuse their shitty behavior.
Do I believe God wins? Well... reality dictates that until something is, it is not. And even if God is victorious outside of time, we don't currently exist there and therefore until the victory happens, we need to fight like God can still lose.
I believe He wrote the ending... I believe He wrote several endings and also will let us fulfill our free will by choosing the ending. This still allows for predestination to take place without interfering with Free Will.
So no, losing "battle after battle" is unac-fucking-ceptable.
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

I would think differently if that was a parable that God’s Son, Jesus told us.
But He did not and that is why I still believe, no matter what we do or not do, God’s plan, not mine, not “ours”, will be fulfilled.
I live in peace knowing that Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, On Earth As It Is In Heaven.
no matter what we do or not do, God’s plan, not mine, not “ours”, will be fulfilled.
So why not kill ourselves then? If it doesn't matter what we do then our existence doesn't matter at all...
Oh... except that it does. I commend you for claiming to follow Jesus, but I bet if I poked hard enough, I'd discover you follow Paul and his interpretation of Jesus. And if you do, that is your business, but just know you idolize a false prophet over that of Jesus. Paul's interpretation may have been well meant, but the damage he did is why we have corporate churches and self proclaimed Christians further from Jesus to the same distance the Pharisees were from God when Jesus first walked the Earth.
If you want to debate Christ in this regard, then let's do battle, but I warn you, I don't pull my punches.

…and God replied “I have you the 2nd amendment”.

Wow that's spot-on. Congratulations for making it all this way. I'm 60 and I still lost more friends (passing) up until the age of 20.

Right. His ways are sooo much higher than ours or what we could even begin to fathom.
Well, then it's easy. God sent us Q. We win. No matter what.

winning God's way is not always an Earthly win. Let's see what happems. Focus on God and we win the only battle that counts.

Given the way I've seen people drop money on lottery and scratch offs, they'd be much farther ahead if they had just left alone.
It's a comfort that they tell themselves so they can excuse their shitty behavior.
