To be quite honest I've seen a few of my posts duplicated with the exact upddoot count back to back...And yet I didn't post it twice 100%....I think there is a glitch somewhere...Its happened to me about 3 or 4 times in the last year...
It's the silly notion that internet points mean something, as though they are redeemable for prizes or more than likely fragile ego building. I agree about not n-tuple posting the same thing, hells bells we have people posting memes so old they can qualify for retirement. We need a certain amount of janitorial clean up on the board of late, sleeper accounts, the n-tuple posting, posts that are in no way relevant but are simply "interesting" news items. Kind of wish the upvote scores were hidden, it would help stop this quick fast, and in a hurry.
I am also at TheDonald.win and there the same thing is going on with stupid hate posts "German hospital bans Russians" (it is a small private unknown clinic) and totally German-Hate comments in it. Nobody did fact-check the info.
And why this country-hating on the .win websites while so much crime against humanity is coming out DONE BY THE PUPPET MASTERS and not a COUNTRY?
There are clearly now "powers" on board of .win communities who push their agendas of desinfo, framing, fogging-up, fake-news.
I sometimes see 3 duplicates right in a row. It's been happening for a long time. I would guess 8 months or more. I just ignore it as I thought it was a glitch too.
I’ve noticed a massive increase in duplicate posts as well. At first I thought perhaps it was a glitch, like maybe the OP had two GAW tabs open when posting? What do I know? I’m not a techie.
Anywho, then someone pointed out that it’s the same posters cluttering up the board with duplicates. Sure enough it is! These are folks who rarely/never make comments, but the post incessantly. If you block them (which only seems to work when Community Stylling is ON) then they go away and scrolling through the posts becomes fun again. 🥳
I should have said for me, personally, blocking the constant non stop posters who post and repost and repost, makes my GAW experience more enjoyable. There are certain people who only repost, and at this point I dgaf what they post or who responds to it.
Also, I don't have a deport button, only report. So I'm not sure how that works.
People that think a safe space is “the way” hurt my sides, like how can you not think about what all this trash and clutter does to the entirety of this board? Bogs it down, bogs you down, and devalues your contribution, because surely you’ll end up in a shit sandwich between their waves of duplicates
I posted something about the murdered mRNA scientist Michael Buschmann first on TheDonald where it got TOTALLY ghosted, it never came up in "New", only 1 upvote and some fren asked about it, could only see the headline.
This fren confirmed to me that there are many strange things happening at TheDonald, similiar to what you describe now.
Then I posted the above post here and it was immediately visible in "New" and got upvoted and comments.

If posting a link to an article, it helps if people keep the same language in of the article title in the post title. It makes it very easy to avoid duplicates. You can add your own two cents or emojis to the post title, but as long as you keep the article title in the post title, it makes it very easy to do a quick search and check to see if its already posted.
When people completely change the post title from the article title, it is much harder to do a search before posting because you literally have to click into the post to read the article to see if its the same.
So my only request is that you keep article titles in your post titles, especially if it is from one of the hot news sources. Everyone typically tries to jump on these hot ones and doing as I described should make it easier to avoid duplicates.
Also, I've made a duplicate in the past and realized after posting that it was a duplicate. Its OKAY to DELETE your own post if you realize this.
It will also save the mods time clearing stuff up.
Its better to delete your post and go make a comment on the original thread so that you can keep the conversation in one place.
I suspect we are going to have lots of breaking news. It's really picked up this week. We can all contribute to keeping things clean by doing a quick search and keep article titles in our posts.
THANK YOU for everyone showing enthusiasm in posting. Let's not lose sight of the fact that this often happens because people are excited and want to contribute.
Slightly off topic, since we moved to .WIN, my search bar has been dodgy to say the least. 9/10 times it won't let me search anything. Some people on here told me it's the same for them. Is there a solution to this? Might get a very small percentage ease off on the duplicate posting if they're able to search and see if somethings been posted. My main gripe is for research, impossible to put a keyword in then see the posts. And even in my archives I organize and save thousands, yet when I open up the category I don't get everything. Is this common throughout the platform or just some of us?

Many people, myself included, are not on other sites (Fb, Twitter etc) so cannot tell that a certain stuff had been posted there.
I see this often also. Some people just want to be "special". They can't take the time to see if what they share is "old news".
May be old news to some and new to others. Not everyone has the same level of awareness.

I get this on mobile, each time the page has to add posts. Visual duplication, not always an overzealous poster.
