The changes to people's biological rythm twice a year is not healthy. There is no benefit to it. It is a very difficult adjustment for children. I have kids and the time change causes sleep and behavioral issues.
It would be great to stop it. However it is # 157 on my list. Let's start with #1, ending pedo globohomo's reign over our world, then eventually we can get to daylight savings. 😀
Farmer here. Never understood why they said it would be. The only thing I need time for is the farmers market, otherwise I play the weather and am up before the Sun regardless of what time the clock says.
I’ve heard it was to keep trains on time? pretty much stupid let’s do away with this it takes millions of dollars each time we change, people having heart attacks it needs to be abolished.

But every year on the Monday after the switch, hospitals report a 24% spike in heart-attack visits around the US.
Just a coincidence? Probably not. Doctors see an opposite trend each fall: The day after we turn back the clocks, heart attack visits drop 21% as many people enjoy a little extra pillow time.
Its uncomfortable true, but we would have daylight into 10:00 at night and darkness all the time in winter. I also live in the north. Last, I know farmers, they need eveybit of light they can get working the fields. I see them working by headlights all the time. Its miserable dangerous work and planting and harvest do not wait. Mother nature always wants to rain on a dry field and the farmers chase the sun trying to get their work done. Its uncomfortable but helps the people put food on your plate.
Clock change creates a huge inconvenience and shortens the lifespan for people who are victims of their presence on earth: school age children, slave labor forced to particular schedule, etc.
Up here in the north it's a matter of time and season and heat and light. It cost a lot more to heat buildings like schools and offices in the dark than a does the day like that is why we change the time here
Also it's a lot safer to be transporting children during the daylight hours than it is in the dark in the dead of einter is 10 below and colder. I know you're trying to the philosophical about this but common sense and practicality also has something to do with it
I say we split it in half (30 minutes) and be done. India did that years ago.
I think DST is designed to keep everyone’s circadian rhythm off balance. I hate it.

Originally, yes.

Wait, why would it kill people?? Could you post some context?

I think NancyGone has the context but I can't open that link. Somethings wrong on my end.
I couldn’t open either
It's because the change messes with people's circadian rhythms. Lots of people have heart attacks the day of the change.
Basic info...

Well I know here in the northern half of the hemisphere it saves us from sending our children to school in the dark in the middle of winter.
And in the summer and spring it works for farmers to have that extra hour of daylight at night.
How would it kill people to change the time you wake up and go to sleep

Exactly that. I actually do better in the spring when the time goes forward an hour.
I'm always so tired in winter at night because my body doesn't adjust to the later hours.

i read it was created so the new factories build didnt lose production time caused by the "employees but just new slaves" commute in pure darkness.
Demonic Savings Time is designed to steal an hour from the Passover/Easter season and add it to the Halloween season.
It also causes heart attacks, traveling blood clots, myocarditis, and dying suddenly.
Falling off a ladder while changing the clock.
Kills people
fixed, thanks
Sure, enough, I kid you not, an ambulance in my neighborhood about one hour ago.
