Brave gives decent results with good privacy. If you want anonymity use a VM in a sandbox and a VPN and delete it. Anonymity isn't going to happen any other way and even that is ???? frex if I need tech results the goog is the only viable option. Branch out and take control for yourself.
Yandex still gives you a measure of truth, back in the day when google was actually working as a search engine they had difficulty filtering out all the porn from their results, yandex seems to have the same problem.....
So at the very least it is comparable to google in the early years before they became goolag....
Thanks for mentioning those. I hadn't heard of them. Have you given Resulthunter a try yet? I don't know about it but it's being recommended by some on here.
Brave is not secure. It's just a better marketed fork of chrome for people on our side who don't do any actual research. They're not selling your information to advertisers because the goal of the program is not to make money. It is to get the information from users who are educated enough to avoid Chrome so they created the controlled opposition known as Brave.
I like yandex. Though my S O needs are largely photos. Huge selection and good quality. Google images were shitty

What about Brave search?
Swiss Cows? I can't trust Brave after I saw it advertised on a bus shelter with other DS adverts.
There is DERPA Block, Mojeek, YaCy and Search Encypt Home. I haven't tried theses in much depth though.

Impossible to block WebRTC because it's a Chrome clone.
I've pointed this out before just for someone to tell me it's now possible.
Turns out there is a setting that relies on the websites one accesses to respect it, but still no way to block it completely.

Been using Brave for a while. I like it. Equal to DDG in my eyes, maybe better
Ahh! Thanks for this, OP! I was trying to find 'metager.com' NOT "metager.org"
https://swisscows.com
https://qwant.com (for everything but Russia/Ukraine)
https://yandex.com
Here's my main search engines currently. Qwant or Yandex mostly used if my search terms contain profanity of some kind.
