When it all starts though, you can tell the hamster was not prepared and the bird is clueless just how intense the "fun" really is from the hamster's point of view.
I reckon the parakeet watched the hamster go in the wheel on previous days and maybe saw somebody gently turn the wheel. The parakeet probably thought they'd try it themselves, they're smart enough, no need to train them for that.
