I had a classmate (8th grade) who had Aspergers and went on to write the code for defibrillators by studying the EKGs of 35 patients dying of heart failure-his mentor, before he passed away, told my classmate to give it to the world, and as result, the machines saved countless lives. My classmate passed last year..
Is there any condition that is not in the spectrum?
I'm no doctor, but I found this video relatable and helpful. Maybe it's a genetic thing or vaccine related. 🤷♂️
What is Aspergers. 👈 6 minute video.
My wife is an RN and is pretty certain my grandfather, my dad and I all have several of these traits.
My college advanced mathematics professor had aspergers. Smartest man I've ever met. Like scary smart... And based as heck!
My son's teacher told me my son had a learning disability. I told her that she had a teaching disability.
A+++
y great nephew's teacher said the same because he was too far advanced in math. He can do most math problems in his head, and that is considered bad. They wanted him to show his work in the new stupid math, he told the teacher if you need to do that much figuring in an emergency you would be dead before you figured out how to escape.
"Parent of the year" award is in the mail fren

I grew up with and still have intense ADHD.
Not the made up over-diagnosed crap. I legit as a kid could not read 2 sentences and remember what the first ones my mind was so scattered.
Science has changed pretty dramatically in regards to understanding ADHD and that it actually is a condition where Divergent Thinking overwhelmed Convergent / Confirmation Thinking. Where most people attempt to get 4 different concepts to relate and converge - our brains work by taking the 4 things and seeing how they Diverge & where those Divergent Threads inter-relate in abstract manners.
They thought for a long time ADHD brains had “too much gray matter” which caused issues. Then they figured out Einstein was ADHD and, too, had shit tons of gray matter. They then learned gray matter is actually healthier and more condensed interwoven synapses. Compared to a normal brain ours literally Fire more synapses between relational areas of the brain. Einstein said he could visualize physics in his head and manipulate it - I can too.
Cheers to everyone who society gaslit from basically infancy. We carry a burden.
I will carry that weight.

We can Hyperfocus which is now seen as an evolutionary ability.
Honest question:
After a long day of mentally working, thinking, being creative; are you absolutely exhausted to the point where you can fall asleep anywhere?
Edit: Do you sometimes have a photographic memory where you can re-read things you saw years ago?
Yes I can reread and visualize things I read long ago - to the point that I actually have dreams where I read. Literally, in the dream, open books and read them. Lucid dreaming is also a thing I have been able to do a long time - as in control, actively and knowingly, the dream. Times come where I can’t - which adds to the nightmare scenario as typically I can steer. In those nightmares I can’t.
In regards to sleep - hell yes. Being able to fall asleep anywhere is a big thing. Weirdly being able to sleep better in new places is also one. Sleeping in the same place repeatedly makes it harder for some reason.
Wow. We have lots of similarities.
Never thought about the variety of sleeping locations though. Sometimes, I'd rather just lay on the floor than go through the process of getting ready for bed. As strange as it sounds, it's actually enjoyable to stop everything and just sleep and then get up later and properly "go to bed".
Sounds like overstimulation sooths you too
The best thing vaccines ever did - created Autists!
