After many hours of getting po'd at ads, I finally downloaded ad blocker.
It was amazing...I no longer had to wait while Rumple loaded ads. I can link to websites and can actually read the article without popups. It has been a time of beauty.
I no longer had to watch ad after ad after ad populate my news articles.
And then, a few websites refused my access unless I disabled my adblocker.
I realize many of these websites think they need to place their ads because they are being paid to do so. But I have my own thoughts...and just for $hits and Giggles how many of you actually click on any link popping up on the website? In the past 20 years I can count on one hand how many times I clicked on a link and in doing so, did NOT buy what they were pushing.
So what I do is highlight the title of the article and do a search - and what do you know? There are many websites that will post the article without demanding I shut down my ad blocker.
Just saying, folks.....just sharing.
I've been using AdBlocker for years. As far as the pop-up message about refusing you access unless you whitelist them, I've noticed that it's primarily just the liberal rags that do it. Fox News just starting doing it about six weeks ago. But you know what? I don't need to read anything they print anyway. There are plenty of alternatives, usually, for the same story. If I really have to read it, I just do a search and find it somewhere else.
Using it surfing YT allows me to watch much, much more content in a shorter time. Yeah, I might be shortchanging channels from revenue, but the ads have destroyed so much of the web, it's not my fault.
My ad blocker failed to block all these ads for ad blockers.
I wonder where I can buy a better ad blocker.
I just use the free version of AdBlocker, and never have any issues. It integrates well with both IE and Firefox.

Been using adblockers since they came out as extensions for Firefox. Don't know, 15-20 years ago?
I cringe whenever I'm forced to use a browser without adblocking. I tried a local tabloid once without adblocking and was amazed how little of the browser window was the actual content. The loading of the page was amazingly slow and the CPU load was off the charts, which could be heard by the CPU fan revving up to max speed.
Those people that harp about "muh climate" should be the first to demand internet adds removed.
AdBlocker is the best, haven't seen a YouTube ad in years!
If you use Youtube any at all, SponsorBlock is pretty amazing. Community driven auto-skip of the mid video ads.
Adblocker is a must have I use it for streaming movies and ppv sports as I'm not giving them money anymore.
If youre into sports here's a great link Www.Vipbox.lc
The website in almost unusable w/o adblock
It's great for the boxin
Ad Block Plus. For years > Sometimes I watch the little ABP logo at the top of my screen and marvel at how many ads are blocked on one site.
I use adguard which does pretty good. Now if they would make one for tv channels that at least blocks drugs and medicare then i would do the gollum, i am free dance.
