My wife showed me a conversation on Facebook between two of her oldest friends. One is married to a very MAGA man and Trump supporter, the other is married to a guy who doesn't care about politics but is a good guy. We all go to the same church.
Anyways, the two women were arguing on a post about Disney, the Maga wife was laying out why Disney is over and the other woman was talking about how it's still ok for your grandkids to listen to the songs and she still wants to be able to sing them to her grandkids.
The other woman started calling her a pedophile and groomer and telling her that she shouldn't be allowed to see her grandkids if she still sings disney songs. She went so far as to tag the woman's daughter and start saying she should keep the woman away from her own grandchildren.
It was all disappointing. I'm not on facebook, but my wife says she's seen a few conversations like this where good people are calling each other pedophiles because they disagree.
I worry about that. We know there are a too many evil people in this world, but when we just start slinging dirt like that, it's not good.
Yes. Disney promoting evil doesn't mean that every single thing they've ever produced is destructive and evil. The devil will tell nine truths to slip in one lie, but once you detect the lie, you don't throw out the truths he told with it.
Considering that 2 companies practicly own the majority of shares of everything. Wed have to be omish to truly boycot the evil that has steeped within.
The best we can do is be reasonable, find the good in things, be fiscally conservitive. Buy what you need, but dont deprive oneself, even of entertainment, like a couple of old disney songs for the kids on youtube. Enjoy things with caution and open eyes, but dont worship the material. Family time and time building hobbies and skillsets should take precident overall. Tv, screentime and shopping should be treats, not the norm. Do that and we win.

That's how it looks to me. She doesn't see it though. The left loves lots of gray areas whereas I tend to lean more toward absolutes. Either Jesus is a liar or He is who He says He is......one or the other. We either follow Him or we follow someone else. Not saying that all these people are evil but we've all been unaware of some of these things.
Sadly, it's really common right now. We sat and scrolled through her feed and found a few more times people were calling each other groomer even though they were on the same side.
