It's been hilarious watching r/texas try and shill for him. Showing pictures of "crowds" of 60 people, half of which are already wearing Beto shirts.

I actually went and read the slate article - they say that calling it "natural" is feeding into anti-vaccination people.

Seriously. It reads like soviet propaganda.

"By endorsing breast-feeding as natural, they say, breast-feeding advocates are reinforcing the idea that natural is A) something that actually exists and B) healthier. "

Does anyone know what their actual reasoning is? What IS the "unintended consequence of calling it natural?" Is it that it hurts troon feelings?

I mean - liberals have been calling us racists for disagreeing with things for years. Now they call us transphobes. The conservatives finally have a word to throw back at them.

Abbot only ever does what he thinks will get him elected again. Right now, what he's doing aligns with what I would want him to do - but he's not doing it because it's right. He's only doing it because it's popular. Make no mistake, if he thought mandatory gender confusion classes from K-12 was popular, he'd do that too.

No one can argue that harm reduction is a decent FIRST STEP. Get someone to use less - then gradually transition them to sobriety. The problem is that we have governments that JUST want to use harm reduction and think that a beating heart is the only end goal - it's not.

You are right that there's more to it than that - but it DOES include "safe smoking kits" which is - free crack pipes.

As someone who works as an addiction treatment professional - "harm reduction" is what you do when you can't do anything else. It's the band-aid on the sucking chest wound. "We can't actually help them, so let's at least reduce the deaths." Sure, they may be still living in poverty killing themselves and others slowly and becoming a literal blight on the world - but at least their hearts are still beating!

he's half right. Spreading disinformation IS a violation of human rights - I just don't think he gets who is spreading the truth ,and who's trying to mislead people in the name of profit and power.

Oh, we'll have to be the ones to fix it - we just can't do it alone. Without God, we'll just make something equally bad. We'll have to actually get our hands dirtly though.

It's way easier to just look at the state of the world and say "Broken worlds give broken results" and go back to your bible. Without God, this place will stay broken.

I was angry, I was upset about the world, I was fully of rage and resentment.

It really did look like the world was trying to tell me that everything good was really bad and everything bad was not only good, but stunning and brave.

Then I got invited to a Church, and I haven't looked back. Now, I realize that, not only is all of this going according to God's plan, but Christ has my back, I'm on the winning side, and I'm NOT imagining things! The world really IS trying to make good bad and bad good.

Your damn right He is.

So many people are rejecting the insanity of the world and turning back to Him.

For as long as we let them. They'll be trying until the midterms in 2020 at least, and likely until 2024.

Shame, they could submit to Christ and have true freedom, safety and belonging.
