I don't trust Elon.
But with that in mind - I'd love to see him offer pink slips to all the SJWs, reinstate Trump and ANYONE ELSE, making it a free and open platform.
But we'll see what happens.
Its not like twitter can get any worse.
I don't believe in forgiveness here. They crossed the Rubicon and they should go down completely for it.
TruthSocial will flourish in its ashes. Why anyone still cares or is holding out hope for Twitter is pathetic.
Trump is never going back to Twitter.
I would be alright with that.
Because most people cant get on TruthSocial. Its too niche to be taken seriously yet.
Ah yes but the company who banned the president and helped steal the election can be taken seriously.
Twitter is dead, you're watching its final death throes.
I dont use either, but If I chose to join one today, i only got one option.
Listening to people advocate for TruthSocial is like Buttegig telling people if they dont like fuel prices, then but electric....
TruthSocial is like Tesla. Lots of promises and inaccessible for most Americans.
No shit? It's only available to IOS and is in a limited rollout phase.
You sound like Politico
Either way, I think that EM is showing his cards with this move
Pouring the salt and butter on the popcorn now ....
For those that are crying that Musk is cabal then ask yourself. What difference does it make then? It goes from one Cobal owner to another. However, if he is NOT. This is MASSIVE if the sale goes through.
I wonder if he didnt make the choice to cooperate with Q. His ex wife is a mess and he has some very questionable parts to his life. I wonder if he did something bad enough to warrant an ultimatum from Q: do what we say, when we say it, and you stay free with your reputation more or less in tact OR deny us and you'll feel the full force of earthly justice.
I wonder if he isn't being told to buy something and destroy it or eventually sell it for a loss to a corporation that acquires digital properties around the world.
I honestly think he woke up during the covid restrictions when they forced him to shut down his Tesla plant in California while Tesla was struggling. It was around that time he started making political commentary.
Could be. I remember a politician just twatting obscenities at him for not locking out employees, that was when they started moving to texas.
shhhhh! do you hear it? "Reeeeeee!"
If you ask me (and my opinion is just that) elon is obviously using his loud voice to manipulate the markets and is unashamed of it.
“My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder.”-elon
He is offering is offering a 50% premium on twitter shares to buy the whole thing which will pump the price higher than 50% over easily but if they don't take the deal, he will sell his 9.something percent and tell everyone that he's doing it, which will dump the price and also drag down the whole tech market.
He is obviously putting his profits into his projects and more stable assets then stocks and fiat garbage. He is building a war chest for something.
The stock market these days is 100% based on hype, (rumors and news) otherwise how the hell could dogecoin ( a joke crypto with unlimited supply and horrible fundamentals) have reached as high as it did over him just tweeting about it?
I say ignore the stock market, ignore twitter, ignore what elon says and stop contributing to their relevance.
He just got outbid, tho. So if it's really his best and final offer, the deal is dead in the water. And despite my personal despise for twit, it is relevant because it is the town crier platform that poisons the minds of normies with fake news. If a platform such as this starts allowing the truth to be spoken, will the tide turn faster?
I saw that he got outbid that's an interesting twist. to answer your ?, yes I think the tide would turn faster if the truth were allowed to be spoken. Do you think elon intends for that to be allowed or that he simply wants to be the guy that get paid by the highest bidder to push narratives and do a littl;e manipulation along the way for some extra cas?
I think Elon is working on his own behalf and the fallout may or may not be of benefit to the rest of us. I see no altruism in this move at all. But I know Q said to look to Twitter so I see that as a way for "the storm is upon us" tweet to occur.
You make good points. EM became the richest person alive during Trump's Presidency. Congress caught many times doing insider trades of TSLA, etc. EM is deeply connected and I think we may see now whether he is truly on our side, or not.
Yes and to me, the fact that he bought almost 10% publicly to gain additional leverage before he announced his offer just makes it seem more like a manipulation thing to me. He can pay all the sec fines and still profit if they go after that one. He makes the statement that iit's not a threat to sell his shares if they dont sell to him but f they keep running twitter the same way it's not a good investment. If it's not a good investment, whey would he buy 10% of the company unless it was to get leverage?
I disagree, our attention is the most valuable commodity that exists in our world, don't waste it.
