Maybe it's been purposely forgotten / ignored to prevent the world from learning inconvenient truths?
We're learning about massive tunnel networks under Ukraine, maybe Europe is full of them also.
I've spent a fair amount of time in Italy. They are masters of stonework and export thousands of tons of marble even to this day. I know that Bergamo and Pisa have underground tunnels and I've read that the Vatican also has an underground network.
Parisians started mining limestone and gypsum from Paris sometime in the 1200s. There is at least 200 miles worth of mining tunnels under the city that they know about. No telling how many they don't know about.
"In Turkey, archaeologists think they may have found the largest underground city in the world — and it was potentially used to hide persecuted Christians."
Better get those caves ready again. Christians are being persecuted now more than ever... so the caves might come in handy.
Should we build a cave complex in Canada to house all the persecuted Christians?
This story is sus. How could it have been used uninterrupted for 1900 years and also be where the Christians hid? It must have been used by someone long before the Christians took it over.
How could people have lived there 1900 years and yet the ceiling and walls are still white. You would think it'd be soot-covered from torches, etc.
And, if they just found it, how do they know they've only excavated 3% of it? How do they know how big it is?
There's more to this story than they're letting on.
This is not new news. I was there over 20 years ago. Said the same things at that time - only 3% excavated, 70,000 or so lived there, covers many miles. Saw various rooms including a place they trained catechumens, and a place where the baptized (water poured down from above where recipient stood), etc
Oh shit they found Zion. The Matrix wasn't Sci fi it was a history Channel documentary
I know right. That's exactly what I was thinking!
It is amazing to me that any place of this magnitude could stay hidden till now. wow.

The underground tunnels under Paris are insane.

COMMs, I dont know what the message is they are sending though.
It's amazing and truly maddening that an underground city that use to house up to 70,000 is lost to history until now.
No one kept account of this place.
Mud floods, cataclysmic scorching of the earth, all biblical shit

Someday maybe they'll discover they have power from on high.
