Um...no question. A pack of bacon that I have bought for years (same brand, same quantity, etc.) was less than $12 a year ago, now it is just under $18.
Eggs have doubled in price here also
They’ve been preparing the rise in food prices awhile now. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/bacon-disappear-california-pig-rules-effect-79189119
Looks like the weather is turning Sow'er. Some clouds Duroc.
Those are my kinda clouds ☁️
Turkey bacon is about half the price of real bacon right now. I’m not sure if it’s any better for you but the Oscar Mayer one isn’t bad. I tried the Butterball brand and it’s not great. So there’s that.
If anything is going to make people snap, it’s the price of bacon. Seriously. Don’t mess with bacon.
A pound? Amateur!
😆
Wot's yer address...?
Asking for a Fren.
It’s MY 🥓...MINE 😁
I just want to read stories to your bacon...
The big jump in bacon prices happened about six or eight months ago.
I just recently got some bacon at Publix for $6, you know one of those buy one get one deals. In Florida you have to buy 2 to get the deal, but in Bama you don’t have to buy 2 to get the sale price. Right now lean ground beef is $4.99 a lb and ball park beef hot dogs are b1g1 free, $6 for 2 packs.
We just made 25 lbs. of venison bacon from a deer my husband shot last fall. We're good for awhile.
