I saw Highlander in the cinema when I was living in South Korea. I thought it was totally awesome, because of the completely unexpected storyline, messing with the head until you figure out what is going on about half-way through.
in particular, I loved the Messianic vibe of the storyline.
I tried to show it to my kids about 30 years later. We only made it a third of the way through, on account of the uber-cheesiness of the whole things.
Memories dashed, a dream from the past buried, an ideal shattered....
Seriously had no idea how strong the cheese was until I watched after 25+ years.
Not Anon Theatre, but a damn good movie!

Literally one of my favorites from childhood.

Sigh.
The cheesiness is part of the enjoyment.
I like how Raiden and the Highlander are both in this thread
It was a different era. A lot of movies of those eras seem extremely cheesy now.

The TV series was good too.
I remember catching re-runs as a kid. Came on "USA" channel. I know there's a movie. I'm only speaking about the show.
