The only law enforcement that is bound by the Constitution are the Sheriffs. The Police work for the corporations that act like our local and state governments. The Police only work to protect that corporation and to enforce the policies of the corporation. The same way private security protects Wal-Mart or Target or any other corporation.
I cannot "back the blue" for these very reasons. Doing so means I support the corporate takeover of America and am ok with them trampling our rights and freedoms.
I've been harassed by Washington County Sheriff's here for having ... get this A LICENSE PLATE LIGHT OUT in the middle of the day. This motherfucker was parked IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD presumably on another call and flashed his lights at me as I was turning into my driveway.
He didn't write me a ticket admittedly. But he did give me a speech about how HE COULD but won't because it's the middle of the day and he's a "reasonable person".
The Sheriff's here are BORED OUT OF THEIR GODDAMN MINDS and are told by the department to do nothing about the homeless people that have invaded our suburb. So instead they spend their time pulling people over for basically no reason to find anything they can. It's happened to sooooo many of my neighbors in the last two years. Next door neighbor got a ticket on their car door for having 5% too much window tint (just moved here from another state where it's allowed). $200 or show up to court and BEG.
Admittedly very very few of them have gotten a ticket. But fuck the Sheriff's are annoying and useless here.
They exist to harass the public. The very few times I've called 911 at my business they'll send someone in maybe half an hour?
Maybe the Sheriff's are okay elsewhere but here in Portland, they're more interested in harassing people for not wearing a mask than they're interested in the constitution.
I've met one or two good guys in the department here. But they're one or two on a SEA of tyrannical fucko hotheads.

Same in Seattle-- peeps getting tickets for rear of car poking into sidewalk form their own driveway--- across the SAME STREET, vile bums, human shit, needles, tents, shopping carts, etc and zero action from city or police- Ticketed for "blocking sidewalk" while 25yards across the street a bum encampment harasses and pollutes daily

so they should show up, ask for the person who called the cops and ticket them for a false police report.
It prob wasn't a false report. You tell the police, "I'm about to ask someone to get off my property, and I'm worried they're going to fight back." and the police will show up. They don't come in guns drawn, they just hang out, and if the person refuses to leave they'll say "You have to leave now or we'll have to arrest you." Their job is to keep things calm.
You can fire someone for any reason in an at-will employment state - what are the police supposed to do! "Hey, as a police officer I Judge the firing reason faulty, and therefore this person can stay and keep getting paid!"
Don't get me wrong - I want this company sued to the ground.
