My daughter is suffering from the worst possible case of this. She had covid this winter and nothing seems to help. Any data or help is greatly appreciated. Non vaxxed 13 yr old. 90%+ no taste or smell. Crazy. TIA.

I can attest to ivermectin being very useful for recovery from post covid lingering issues. For myself, I took ivermectin about 1.5 months ago after having a 2nd case of covid in late December. Sick symptoms were done in a week, but I had severe lingering brain fog to the point I was struggling to do my job and general malaise / prolonged energy deficit. Those issue cleared for me within 3 days of treatment beginning.
Also my wife in July 2021 had ivermectin nearly 11 months post first covid infection as she had some significant lingering reproductive issues that returned even after a surgery back in March 2021. Those problems cleared up for her after that course of treatment and did not reoccur when she also was sick again with covid in December 2021.
Will it help with the olfactory sense?
I really don't know as that has a neurological piece. From my first round of infection, my sense of smell was gone for awhile and eventually came back with many things smelling weird (shampoo smelled like sewage to me for 3 months after recovery). And since the 2nd round of covid, I have some constant tinnitus which I suspect will remain permanent for me. The frequency is very high, so at least it doesn't interfere with ranges I'm used to hearing things in and I generally try to ignore it.
I hope you can get your daughter some help with the lingering post covid issues.
Try getting adjusted by a chiropractor. Nothing scientific but mine started coming back a few hours after and was fully back the next morning.
Upper cervical chiro. Is area of specialization. Palmer-Specific or Blair method. If you contact Palmer College of Chiro you can find one in your area. Upper cervical chiro really saved my life!
Hot tub with chlorinated water worked for me. Accidentally got water in my nose and could smell the next day.
There was a video on youtube about restarting the olfactory senses with a finger thump to the back of the head and something else. It was done by a Dr. Several comments from others that it worked, could have been a joke but looked legit.
Heard it would eventually come back, but could be trained by being exposed to ever stronger spices and herbs. Talk to a Dr about this therapy...
Most likely infected people should have their taste back in a few months.
It took 8 months for my son's smell to return. He wouldnt take Ivermectin...sort of asleep still. I hear about a lot of people who did take Ivermectin post covid, and their smell and taste returned pretty quickly.
Put you nose Nancy Pelosi's crotch. If you can't smell after that you case is hopeless.

Acupuncture and try cbd. Also if you’re ok giving her a micro dose of mushrooms before she sleeps it’ll help.
Joette has some good inormation on this: https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/loss-of-taste-and-smell/
Took ivermectin and other supplements. Felt like crap for about a week. But have had significant hair loss about 2 months later. Getting better. Thank god I had thick hair.
Wife and I both had a bad case of the “COVID” in early January and BAM - about three months later, we both started noticing our hair falling out like crazy (for me, clogging up the shower drain and seeing it all over the bathroom floor). All my life I’ve had a thick head of hair until then. Did some quick research on COVID hair loss, found out it was not uncommon, but guardedly hopeful because the articles I read said the condition would only be temporary. After about three weeks of steady hair loss it finally stopped. Both wife and I are slowly getting our hair back, though me more than her. I kick-started my process with Nutrafol and Kintsugi last month, though I think it’s too early to tell if these supplements are actually working.
Previously… never was that mindful or “vain” about my hair… until I started to lose it! Now I have a lot more empathy for my balding buddies who used to complain about me still having hair while they were losing theirs. As one of my friends lamented to me last year about getting older, “Man… I’m losing hair where it used to be and growing it in places where it’s never been before.” LOL
Crazy about 2-3 months after infection. Mine hair loss has slowed down quite a bit. Taking supplements and they say not to wash your hair as much. I use to wash it every one to two days. Now twice a week. When I was recovering my scalp was sensitive to brushing and when I washed it. My husband got Covid 4 days before me and hadn’t experienced the same symptoms as me including hair loss but my sister has. Genetics I guess. Did you experience a sensitive scalp?
Thanks for the message.
I never experienced a sensitive scalp problem. My wife bought me some tea tree oil shampoo which supposedly helps to “open up” the scalp pores (or something like that?) and thus allow your scalp to “breathe.” She unfortunately can’t use the stuff because her scalp is very sensitive to it and it gives her a rash. Whereas I have ~thickish quasi-coarse hair, hers is very thin and fine.
We both assumed our hair loss was probably a combination of genetics and an auto-immune reaction to COVID, with maybe a little dash of a temporary decrease/deficit in nutritional health because of COVID.
One of these days in the hopefully near future I pray the full information comes out to expose the various mechanisms of the “COVID” virus and the scam that was perpetrated on the world (including the vaccine scam). The other day I was talking to a friend about this and he mentioned that it took over ten years for the cigarette industry to come “clean” on the asbestos-laden filters they put on cigarettes to “smooth out” tobacco harshness. He said they knew smokers were dying from a strange lung cancer caused by the asbestos but kept quiet about it, until the information hit critical mass and the industry could no longer control it. I hope we hit our critical mass moment sooner than that.
They’ll try to keep it hidden. Thanks for the info.
I think it is the zinc. Both spouse and I noticed hair loss about a month after starting zinc.
My daughter lost her taste and smell after covid during Christmas 2020. She did not regain it for about january 2022. She still says some foods taste different.
That just sucks. Good luck and hope it gets back to 100%!
