Don't forget your hot water tank, has another 40 gal. It's a good idea to occasionally drain them to clear sentiment, but be care sometimes the valves won't close all the way if you have an old tank.....
When I replaced my water heater a few years ago, I installed shutoff valves on both the inlet and outlet sides.
That way I can isolate the tank and use it for emergency water without warrying about water coming back in from the house pipes and possibly contaminating the water in the tank.

You will need air coming in the top,so crack the outlet,if you drain it.
Looks like something I need to add to my emergency kit. Fine print says it only good for one use. Wonder why?
Thanks for posting.
Probably because the water is going to sit for a long period of time.
Also, you can get a food grade blue barrel that can hold 55+ gallons of water. I found them on Craigs list for $20.00 each and they work great!
I have same thing called a Water Bob. Great addition
That's the one I just ordered - the reviews were better about ease of use.
