It's been a year since i saw him almost to the day but my father has fallen tonight.. he has a baby granddaughter he hasn't yet met.. i don't know how i'll make a thousand mile trip right now but i may need to figure that out.
He was a single day and i'm his only child and he listened to rush limbaugh every day 😅 long before i woke up to appreciate it lol.. he's one of the good ones and i could use your spare prayers and thoughts. He's in the er now.

Our Heavenly Father, I pray today for the health and healing of a fellow patriot's father who has fallen. I ask for your healing touch to reach down and mend the parts of him that is in need of repair. I pray Lord that you make him whole so that he may see and hold the new granddaughter you have blessed him with. Give this fellow patriot the faith and strength to hold on and believe strongly in your healing powers as they await the recovery of their loving father. Lord in Heaven, please be with your children as we go through these trying times. Lord we ask as humble servants that you fill the medical staffs in all the hospitals with Your light. We've lost most of our goof nurses and medical professionals when they refused the jab and those good nurses that remain are tired and burnt-out. Fill them with energy and empathy! Bring them peace in their hearts and minds so that they may watch over those children of Yours that need medical assistance.
We love You, Lord, and we want live for You and in Your kingdom! Protect as we stand for You and heal those of us that fall.

I understand completely. My mom and dad were part of the WWII Greatest Generation too. Dad was a Navy corpsman with the Marines in the Pacific, my mom worked at Oak Ridge, TN on "the bomb." They are both gone now, and I still miss them. Praying for you and your father in this moment.

Oh yeah, I've seen it here too. The fear porn was round the clock, 24/7. A couple of local TV stations even had ominous music and a spike protein image for their COVID updates. The subtext was "This is deadly serious, folks." Yeah, sure. So I also know a lot of older folks who eagerly got in line for the shots. And frankly, some of them now are not doing so well. One recently had a TIA while on his computer trying to log into a ZOOM meeting; his wife found him just staring at the screen and unable to talk or understand what he was doing. A quick trip to the ER got him up and running again, but I think he's been cognitively damaged now...he doesn't seem like the same person I used to know.
