I was wondering about this. There’s no way they are going to let a women lie there and die if she has an ectopic pregnancy. In my opinion the procedures done for this are not considered abortion. I am not on any other platforms besides this. Are many people stating these life saving procedures are now illegal?
Absolutely. I advise you to look up your own state's abortion laws. Compare that reality to the hysteria being spread.
An ectopic pregnancy occurs outside of the uterus and requires surgery or medication. It is not a normal pregnancy and needs to be diagnosed early to avoid serious complications such as bleeding due to rupture of the fallopian tube. This is where the majority of ectopic pregnancy occurs, but a fertilized egg could attach in the abdominal cavity or the cervix. This is a potentially dangerous medical condition that requires treatment and can never result in a normal pregnancy or birth.
Yeah, hold up on this one. One has a right to life, that is why abortion is wrong. In some ectopic pregnancies, however, the mother's life is doomed if her right to her own life isn't weighed against the child's. Saving the mother at the child's expense isn't murder; it is self defense against an agent non-malicious and unwilling, but nevertheless about to kill her (not to mention his or herself).
It is a sad reality of mortality, but it's not what pro-abortionists have in mind when they want to force doctors to kill babies on your dime.
Yes, I also believe that in an ectopic pregnancy the baby will not survive either way. So saving the mother is the best and basically only option. We are more advanced with medicine now therefore we see theses things and morally feel the need have to take action whereas before in history the mother died without explanation. It is a sad reality.
Amen. These are not abortions. These are incidents where the baby dies prematurely of natural causes. In these cases, medical intervention is required after the baby's passing in order to remove them from within the womb or outside the uterus (as with an ectopic pregnancy). Abortion is the killing of a live fetus.
My own mother has had three of these: She had an abortion, then a miscarriage, and then an ectopic pregnancy.
Needless to say, I was her only child to survive.
MD here all the above is true. All of these conditions were treated & managed here in Ireland when abortion was still illegal.
The problem is threatened miscarriage… where it may just be a matter of time before fetal death, but some form of a heartbeat is still present. A death of this type (Savita Halappavanar) was the case used in Ireland, but her sepsis went unrecognised and untreated overnight. Hard cases make bad law, abortion was legalised.
We had 6,666 reported abortions in the first year after legalization.
Some of our legislators are now calling to extend beyond 12 weeks. A lot of this, and gender issues, started in the US & elsewhere long before it arrived here, but it is astounding how fast it’s taken root here and is now expanding.
6,666, you say?
Hmm...
Obvious comms is obvious comms
Libs are triggered, that leads to hysteria and in this state they'll grasp on to any talking point to defend their argument.
They also think Republicans/Conservatives are bunch of ignorant sexist who would put a woman's life above a non-viable baby.
They think the Handmaiden's Tale is becoming reality, so they're freaking out.
Well, they need to be more goddamned vocal about shit like this.
