I have been writing about EVs being a massive fraud on GAW for several months now. When I have said EVs are a "dead end" I didn't say this lightly. Think of it terms of technology. First and foremost, despite the massive deception, the technology isn't even close to comparing to the efficacy and cost of ICE and Diesel vehicle technology. For those pundits that claim the technology will only improve, that's yet another deception and fraud. Why do I say this? Read up on the Invention Secrecy Act, then become familiar with 35 U.S.C. 181; the so-called Secrecy of Certain Inventions and Withholding of Patent to understand there are suffocating national security measures against inventions and new energy technology. National security is all about maintaining the monopolies and oligopolies that have been ruling our economy. This ought to be the fact everyone knows.
Now lets imagine for a moment in terms of the industry improving the battery in EVs. This is the viability dream that's always right around the corner. After all right now, the battery is the biggest limiting factor of EVs competing with ICE and Diesel powered vehicles. Let's just say the government will permit the technology of a high capacity battery to be released so that EVs become equitable to ICE and Diesel powered cars. The price of has to be comparable as well. The minute this occurs, these vastly improved batteries would be used to power homes and businesses instead of relying on the ubiquitous dependency of quasi-governmental power plants. These superior batteries would be used in powering everything from lawnmowers to power tools. Even weapons.
From the government's point of view, this would be an absolute threat to the infrastructure of the United States. The United States economic infrastructure is a national security issue. This is why the advancement of energy technology will never happen. The corporate monopolies and oligarchies have long been in bed with government to which they themselves are quasi-government entities, similar to the US Post Office. It's all about control and having complete power over you and I. The very definition of government is power and control. It is always a pervasive and abusive force.
If you have issue believing this scenario I painted above, lets look at the number of patented inventions confiscated by the US government. The most recent information I have is from 2015, to which there were an accumulation of 5,579 invention secrecy orders in effect. In that year alone there were 95 new secrecy orders imposed. Only 36 prior orders have ever been rescinded in the history of this Act. How many more have there been in seven years up to 2022?
You should know it as well as I do. Technology is being held back from us for maintaining control over us.
As I said before, the EV is a fraud and a deception to get people to buy into the KoolAid of the 'green' economy. The starting price of EVs is currently at $61k. The entry cost along with cost to operate will eliminate half of Americans from the market. As we watch government mandates against ICE and Diesel engine vehicles increasingly take hold, they will become increasingly priced out of the market. The herding of the public to EVs will only end up being affordable for the wealthy; those who can afford it. Most Americans will be forced to take mass transportation. With mass transportation, there's more control over your lives. Do you think the 'No Fly' list is going to be for only airlines? All of this fits very well with the social credit system that China has prototyped. Then there's Biden's own words betraying the Marxists true intent. Biden said -- Higher gas prices mean less cars on the road. He said we'd be happier seeing this. Biden said 2 years ago when he was campaigning that he was going to put the oil industry out of business. Recently, SoT Buttigieg confirmed forcing the public to take mass transportation is in fact their plan.
Agreed. However, don't forget the central theme of my post. It doesn't matter how great the technology is. The Cabal will never allow it to become commercialized for the reason of maintaining total control. The wonders of innovation are continuously being stymied. From their lofty seat of financial power the decision has been made that there are too many cars on the roads and only option is public transportation. This is all about the 2030 Agenda. Believe it or not, I've been hearing this chatter since the 1970s. This is why Dementia Joe, Pete Buttigieg and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm say these very idiotic sounding things. It's no longer chatter, they are acting on it. The script has been given to them and they are absolutely serious about it.
Indeed, there is marvelous technology not being allowed in the public sphere. The government only enforces the status quo. There is already far better technology in batteries. Hemp fibers are better than graphene for superconductivity and can be implemented in batteries. They have experimented with all flavours of biowaste - from peat moss to eggs. Even banana peels can be turned into very good batteries. Then there are nano-diamond self-charging batteries that could disrupt energy as we know it. The list of inventions goes on and on. None of them are on the market for the reason I mentioned above. Absolute Control.
Did you know in 1971, energy conversion systems were subject to review and possible restriction if they offered conversion efficiencies “in excess of 70-80%.” How much has changed from that time to the present? Automobiles today still get approximately the same MPG as in the 1930s. The only technology that has drastically changed are the computers; so-called "Smart" technology, which is really a euphemism for a Spy Device.
...compelling observations, nicely stated and framed...
...thank you for your timely contribution....
EV are kind of cool. But at current tech level. They’re mostly suited as a glorified taxi ferrying people around the semi-controlled environments of a particularly large corporate or educational campuses. And maybe driving around your immediate local town.
Charging stations still aren’t particularly common over large portions of the country so anymore then that and you run the risk of being caught in the middle of bumfuck nowhere with a dead battery.
...could you imagine planning a trip across the country in an EV...
...having to chart your course by connecting the dots with charging stations....
There are apps out there doing the job for you.
I currently drive the new Hyundai Ioniq 5, and I’m taking the car across Europe this summer.
The high speed charging network is placed all over the continent, and I’ll “only” have to stop for 15 minutes every 2-2,5hours of autobahn driving.
It’s not for everybody, but it suits me perfectly, as my dog isn’t a very found passenger, and needs regular breaks when we’re driving.
My first leg would be south of Sweden to south of Germany, and that 10 hour leg is about 1,5hours longer in an EVthen in an ICE.
This range discrepancy is what you see in all cars, ICE or EV.
Nothing new.
But as the energy tank in an EV is about half of an ICE, the reduced range when doing high speeds and/or during winter time, will have a much bigger impact.
30% reduction of range in an ICE will still get you 600 miles+
Buy and EV and you have to buy all your fuel for the life of the car upfront. Electricity from the wall is not fuel. Electricity is needed to "condition" the the fuel in the battery that is it's chemistry requires before it can be used each cycle. Give me an EV where I can lease or rent the battery.
Sounds a lot like EPA mpg ratings which were not based in reality..
..."reality" today is not based on reality....-
kek
...indeed...
...what we now need are 300 mile long extension cords....
It’s based in reality, and you’ll have the same problem with petrol/diesel cars.
The EPA, WLTP and NEDC driving cycles ate performed indoors in a lab, and shouldn’t be used to check what to expect IRL, but to compare two different cars in the same segment.
An EV with 400mi EPA range will do better in almost all circumstances compared to an EV with 300mi EPA range.
Will you ever get 400 miles out of your Tesla Model S?
Yes, during calm, dry summer evenings driving less than 70mph.
Will you get 24mpg out of your F150? Not during winter and/or high speeds.
But because the F150 has at least twice the range of the Tesla Model S, we’ve learned to live with the huge fluctuations in mpg on ICE cars.
My last ICE, Volvo V90, fluctuated between 25 and 60mpg, based on speed and weather.
The average buyer didn't see it that way. In their "real world" they were never able to come within 10-16% of the numbers on the sticker. The numbers on that sticker were all facts with the exception of the "negotiable" sticker price and those numbers put on the stick by an agency who told the manufacturers that they had to even though the agency didn't actually have the authority to make them do it...
The average buyer is an idiot.
If you think about how dumb the average person is, half of the population is even dumber.
The EPA range is a driving cycle following a certain set of conditions. You’ll never be able to see that number unless you drive according to those conditions or better.
I have no problem getting those numbers now during summer doing 60mph or less. Winter doing 90? No way.
Fren you need to lighten up. Because you should be celebrating the mortal hit the Administrative state took last week. Not justifying and rationalizing their overreaches.. Do me a favor this week, take a day or a half day and go do something tha makes you happy. Something purely for enjoyment. Because you are starting to sweat the small stuff" stuff you cannot control, stuff that is symptoms.. You will be more productive to the movement if you give yourself a chance to breath.. Best wishes.
Thanks for the tip, but this movement needs common sense and facts.
The echo chamber of fake news regarding EVs are on par with the part of this movement that has snowed in on gematria and chemtrails.
