Why do you need a convention of states, when existing constitution is being disregarded by half the country? The only reason for this at this time is to destroy the constitution and make it legal for them to destroy the country.
Only when the fake news propaganda is destroyed and everyone is aware of the reailty can they have an informed opinion to take part in a Convention of States
Seditious Conventions of State have been held in the past as National Governor's Conferences, which is how they all got the idea for lotteries, casinos, tying your pension into corporations they own, rewriting imminent domain laws and so on, setting the table for the New World Order right under your noses the whole time.
This time it's official and about changing the constitution.
A convention of states is essentially the states getting together and saying "we believe the federal government is out of control and we'd like to make the rules ourselves." It requires a 3/4ths majority of state legislatures in a minimum of 34 states. The purpose being that, if a majority of elected officials in a majority of the states disagree with the federal government on an issue, they can bypass the federal government.
So, in and of itself, a convention of states is little more than a tool. For the most part, I would say it isn't necessary. However, there are a few areas where the federal representatives aren't going to vote against their own interests: balanced budget laws, term limits, etc.
The current movement started with some legit people who had legit goals, but the likes of low energy Jeb and lil' Marco do appear to be getting involved to co-opt the movement (which is so often the case with political movements these days.)
A convention of states has been bruited about for just about as long as the NWO gang has been trying to overturn the US. They started as "let's have an amendment that the budget must be balanced" and got people who don't understand the fiat money system to think it was a good thing. It would be a disaster. Now it is 50 years later and we have a large entrenched army who would like to throw out the Constitution and start over with abortion rights, Federal supremacy, and all the things the left holds dear.
We need a #CEXIT, conservative state exit from the USA corporation. From 13 states to the size of US today anyone that thinks we can be unified is delusional. I see no issue with like minded conservative states forming their own organization and sick liberal states forming their own as well. The people get to decide where they want to live and each organization can handle the issues as they see fit.
A convention of States circumvents Congress by state legislatures passing laws with a 34 state majority. Cannot be vetoed by a president. 30 states currently have a Republican house and 32 have a Republican Senate. If the Legislatures could agree on issues then the current legislatures could meet and pass laws restricting the federal government. IMHO there is no downside to restricting federal government. The states would never meet to give up power because this would require around 5000 state representative to agree to give back power when they can take power away.
Those numbers may be much higher after the '22 midterms.
soros and many other want a convention of states as much as some of us think we want it, if not more.
its their in to really mod the constitution with all the progressive crap we don't want.
secession movements like TEXIT are probably a safer bet than convention of states.

But obviously this means it’s not a good thing…
This is the left stating, make my day. It would be suicide.

Bad idea... Opens the constitution up to meddling.
