Hmmm. The timing seems suspicious. Do you think closing it down was a white hat or a black hat operation? Sometimes it’s so hard to tell who is playing for what team. Exciting times.
I remember Denny's and that it was THE place to go for a real chocolate malt made with choc ice cream and malt powder. Served in the metal container it was made in, plus a glass to pour it in, and their was always enough extra for about another third of a glass! Man. What ever happened to 'going the extra mile' just to please customers. I want that chocolate malt right now. Sigh.
Did you ever try a pint ice cream called Dreamery? Put out by Dreyers? a long time ago.
They had a chocolate malt that was perfect with a chocolate ganache top. I miss it.
If McDonald's or Taco Bell goes, then we're in trouble. We've already had a KFC go and a Subway. Limited serving hours at many places including Wendy's.
Correct, that's the only time I'd go to VI is after club closes or what have you. Absent that, yeah Denny's is better than starving I guess but dang it's pretty bad!
Edit: I should note, your original point was not lost btw, I just got all excited. Long-standing independent diners have been closing in Denver due to lack of staff.

I haven't been able to get a Moons Over My Hammy at 2am in years
Wah. Bummed.

Denny’s meh.
We will know we are at the precipice when Waffle Houses start closing.
We don't have Waffle House either. 😪

Ah, why Waffle House matters.

I myself went to Waffle House under “Yellow” condition after a hurricane in Houston. I was damn glad to have them.
I didn't know about that! Kinda cool and a good idea. It's weird, I just watched a video about the Joplin tornado 2 days ago.
I opened just to find out where the northernmost Denny's is (was, RIP) located.
Now I'll be able to sleep! Hope I don't dream of Denny's, though.
Wishing you tasty dreams 😄
Village Inn stomps Denny's hands-down
We don't have a Village Inn. Sad life. The biggest thing I think was the late night open. When you're up and out after midnight, you get hungry..lol
