I've known for over a decade that what people call "God" is actual the Universal Consciousness - not an old man with a white beard (that's Santa Claus).
I don't think Universal Consciousness created the heavens and the earth. It might be responsible for making people aware of God and Him having done so.

I think the Holy Spirit is a closer representation to what people call "universal consciousness." But it's just another aspect of God.
